Peeling of the skin under the glans

Many men have experienced similar symptoms of glans peeling. In fact, most glans peeling is caused by balanitis. The more common symptoms of balanitis are redness, swelling, and itching of the glans, and sometimes a peculiar smell. In fact, this is generally related to poor hygiene habits. In this case, it is best to go to the hospital for examination and treatment as soon as possible to avoid worsening of the disease and increasing the difficulty of treatment.

Symptoms of phimosis:

Candida albicans balanitis: Erythema can be seen on the foreskin and glans, with a smooth surface and small blisters. The edges of the erythema are clear, and there are erosions and exudates during acute attacks.

Acute superficial balanoposthitis: At the onset, there is local redness, redness and swelling of the penis skin, and burning and itching of the glans. When the foreskin is turned back, the inner surface of the foreskin and the glans can be seen to be congested and eroded, with exudate and even bleeding. After secondary infection, small ulcers can be seen, with foul-smelling milky white purulent secretions.

Trichomonal balanitis: papules and erythema appear on the glans, gradually expanding with clear edges. Small needle-sized blisters can be seen on the erythema, and finally an erosive surface is formed.

Annular ulcerated balanoposthitis: Erythema can be seen on the glans and foreskin, which gradually expands and becomes ring-shaped, and may form a superficial ulcer surface.

Fungal glansitis symptoms

Symptom 1

The most common and prominent symptom of fungal glansitis is that the skin of the penis and glans penis will feel itchy and burning. White dirt like tofu dregs can be seen on the glans penis, the inner plate of the foreskin, and the coronal sulcus, which smells fishy.

Symptom 2

The penis of patients with fungal glansitis will have some small papules or pustules, and these papules and pustules will spread to the surrounding area and form glans erosion after reaching the glans. If fungal glansitis is caused by infection with Candida, the common symptoms are redness and swelling of the glans, smooth surface, and mild desquamation on the edge.

Symptom Three

When fungal glansitis affects the scrotum, some erythematous rashes will appear on the contact surface of the scrotum and penis, accompanied by a noticeable itching sensation. If the urethra is affected, frequent urination and urgency will occur. A small number of patients will develop acute edematous glansitis.

Early symptoms of glansitis

Cytomegalic balanitis

This is a common type of glansitis, which refers to a chronic inflammation of the glans and the inner side of the foreskin, accompanied by plasma cell infiltration. In the early stage of the disease, one or more clearly defined erythema will appear, the surface of the erythema is moist and shiny, and sometimes erosion will occur.

Annular erosive glans

Annular erosive glans is also a common type of glansitis. In the early stages of this type of glansitis, some erythema will appear on the glans and foreskin. These erythema will gradually expand to form rings or multiple rings, and slowly develop into superficial ulcers. If secondary infection occurs, the symptoms will worsen.

Candidal balanitis

Candidal glansitis is also called fungal glansitis. It is a glans inflammation caused by Candida albicans. In the early stage of the disease, the glans will appear erythematous, and the surface will be smooth, and there will be slight desquamation at the edge. At the same time, it will be accompanied by satellite-shaped papules and small pustules.
