Symptoms of glansitis

Balanitis has become a common disease in men's medicine. Balanitis can cause kidney damage in men, and in severe cases it may affect the sexual life of couples. Therefore, after the occurrence of balanitis, it is important to note that this is a disease caused by fungal infection. Usually, there will be symptoms of local flushing, swelling, burning and itching. In severe cases, there may also be congestion and erosion.

What are the symptoms of phimosis?

Inflammation of the glans mucosa is called glansitis. Glansitis is often caused by fungal, chlamydia, mycoplasma, herpes and other bacterial infections, and sometimes by foreskin being too long. Poor personal hygiene can lead to infection of the glans by bacteria, fungi or other pathogens, and irritation of the glans skin by chemicals. Male friends should be vigilant. What are the detailed symptoms of glansitis?

1. Symptoms of acute superficial glansitis: Initially, local flushing, redness and swelling of the penis skin, burning and itching of the glans. When the foreskin is turned over, congestion and erosion can be seen, with exudate and even bleeding. After secondary infection, small ulcers and milky white foul-smelling secretions can be seen.

2. Symptoms of annular ulcerated glansitis: Erythema can be seen on the glans foreskin, which gradually expands into a ring shape and forms an ulcerated surface.

3. Symptoms of Candida albicans balanitis: Erythema can be seen on the foreskin and glans, with a smooth surface and small blisters and clear edges. Erosion and exudate occur during acute attacks.

4. Symptoms of trichomoniasis glansitis: papules and erythema on the glans gradually expand with clear edges. Small needle-sized blisters can be seen on the erythema, and finally an erosive surface is formed.

The clinical manifestations of phimosis are redness and swelling of the foreskin, burning pain, aggravated during urination, and purulent secretions flowing out of the foreskin opening. If the foreskin is turned over, the inner plate of the foreskin and the glans penis can be seen to be congested and swollen. In severe cases, there may be shallow ulcers or erosions, showing pus.

In the early stage of balanitis, the glans and foreskin surface are edematous and congested, the area around the urethra is red and there are wounds and erosions, and it can develop into superficial ulcers, with purulent secretions flowing out. The patient feels itching or burning sensation at the glans penis, followed by pain. Many people do not know about candida. After erosion, pus may flow and have a foul smell. In severe cases, there will also be fatigue, low fever, enlarged and tender inguinal lymph nodes.
