Sometimes, in public places, we see some men doing something very "shameful" - scratching their genitals directly with their hands. 1. Contact dermatitis

A small number of men with allergic constitutions may develop dermatitis reactions such as erythema and papules on the skin in contact with the underwear, which may cause itching, because the underwear is close to the perineal skin and the area is easily soaked by sweat.

2. Balanitis

Men with prepuce that is too long or phimosis usually suffer from chronic inflammatory reactions due to the accumulation of smegma in the coronal sulcus of the foreskin. They are also prone to condyloma acuminatum, so there is often a local itching sensation.

3. Pubic lice

Pubic lice have special hook-shaped claws that attach to the skin in the pubic area and around the anus. Their bites and the stimulation of their saliva toxins can cause local skin itching, folliculitis, and eczema-like changes.

4. Tinea groin and tinea buttocks

Men who are obese and sweat a lot are more likely to have fungi multiply and develop tinea cruris or tinea glutealis due to their sweaty and moist vulva. The symptoms are ring-shaped red papules on the thigh root or buttocks, which often have scaling and itching.

5. Other diseases

People with chronic digestive diseases, gastrointestinal disorders, endocrine disorders, and metabolic disorders are also prone to penile itching due to external factors.

6. Non-infectious factors

Including local trauma, friction, contraceptives, soaps and detergents and other irritations, the local manifestations may be edema erythema, erosion, exudation and even bleeding. If secondary bacterial infection occurs, it may become purulent and form an ulcer surface.
