What is gonococcal vaginitis?

Does anyone know what gonococcal vaginitis is? Gonorrheal vaginitis is mainly a disease in which the vagina is infected by bacteria, and it is a serious infectious disease. Its main mode of transmission is sexual intercourse in daily life. This disease is mainly caused by not paying attention to hygiene in daily life. Let us introduce it in detail from various aspects.

Vaginitis is vaginitis. The vagina of a normal healthy woman has a natural defense function against the invasion of pathogens due to the characteristics of its anatomical tissue. For example, the vaginal opening is closed, the front and back walls of the vagina are tightly attached, the vaginal epithelial cells proliferate and the surface cells keratinize under the influence of estrogen, and the acid-base balance of the vagina is maintained, so that the reproduction of pathogens that adapt to alkalinity is inhibited. The cervical mucus is alkaline. When the natural defense function of the vagina is destroyed, pathogens are easy to invade, leading to vaginitis.

There are many clinical manifestations:

1. Bacterial vaginosis

10% to 40% of patients have no clinical symptoms. Those with symptoms mainly have increased vaginal discharge with a fishy odor, which is especially aggravated after sexual intercourse and may be accompanied by mild vulvar itching or burning sensation. Examination shows that the vaginal mucosa has no congestion or inflammation. The discharge is grayish white, uniform, thin, and adheres to the vaginal wall for a long time, and can be easily wiped off the vaginal wall.

2. Candidal vaginitis

(1) Vulvar itching, burning pain, and pain during sexual intercourse.

(2) Frequent urination and painful urination. The characteristic of painful urination is that urine irritates the swollen vulva and vestibule during urination, causing pain.

(3) Characteristic discharge: white, thick, and resembling curd or bean curd residue.

(4) Vulvitis - map-like erythema, edema, and scratches.

(5) Vaginitis - edema, erythema, and white membrane.

3. Trichomonas vaginitis

(1) Characteristics of increased vaginal discharge: thin, purulent, yellow-green, foamy, and smelly.

(2) Location of vulvar itching: vaginal opening and vulva.

(3) If combined with urinary tract infection: frequent urination, urgency, pain, and sometimes hematuria.

(4) Infertility: Trichomonas vaginalis can devour sperm, hindering the production of lactic acid and affecting its survival in the vagina.

(5) Examination revealed: vaginal mucosal congestion with scattered bleeding spots, "strawberry-like" cervical posterior fornix with a large amount of leucorrhea, grayish yellow, yellowish white thin liquid or yellowish green purulent secretions, often foamy. There were no abnormal changes in the vaginal mucosa of parasite carriers.

4. Senile vaginitis

Increased vaginal discharge, vulvar itching, etc., are often accompanied by pain during sexual intercourse.

5. Infant vaginitis

The main symptoms are vaginal purulent discharge and vulvar itching.

Through my introduction, I believe everyone has some understanding of what gonococcal vaginitis is. Through my detailed introduction above, I believe it can warn us more about the hygiene problems of the vagina in our daily lives. After all, everyone should be responsible for their own bodies. The body is the capital of the revolution. Don't let your body hold you back. I hope you can refer to my suggestions.
