Causes of left testicle pain

Causes of left testicle pain

Men may experience pain on both sides of their testicles. So what causes testicular pain in men? Many men have this question when they face this symptom, because testicular pain is very serious and painful, which has a certain impact on men's lives. Some people are worried that such symptoms will affect fertility. So what is the original cause of testicular pain in men? Let's take a look at it together:

What is the pain on the left side of the testicle?

Acute pain

It is more common in orchitis and injury. In addition to bloodstream infection, orchitis is more common when bacteria retrograde through the urethra to the epididymis and testicles, causing epididymitis and orchitis. Clinically, epididymis and testicle swelling and pain can be seen. Testicular injury has a history of trauma and local swelling and congestion. Vigorous exercise or sexual intercourse and violence can sometimes cause strong contraction of the levator testis, causing the testicle with an overly long frenulum to twist and cause severe testicular pain. Since the testicular twisting blocks the blood supply to the testicle, in addition to severe testicular pain, there is also scrotal swelling and skin edema. Acute pain is relatively easy to diagnose.

Chronic pain

The pain is mild, generalized, and radiates, so it is not easy to determine the exact location of the inflammation. Testicular pain is not necessarily proportional to the severity of the inflammation. Some people are very sensitive to nerves, and mild inflammation can cause severe pain; while some people are slow to feel pain, so they feel that it is mild.

Some pain occurs after sexual intercourse, which may be due to sexual excitement causing high congestion of the genitals and gonads. Some pain is caused by varicocele or pain radiating from other parts of the body, such as radiating testicular pain caused by ureteral stones. At this time, the real cause must be carefully identified in order to effectively treat the symptoms.

The symptoms of testicular pain caused by different reasons are also different. Patients with infection have more severe testicular pain. It may even feel like a knife cutting, and it will be accompanied by systemic symptoms such as severe chills. At this time, the scrotum is red and swollen, and the pain is more obvious when the testicles are touched. When suffering from tuberculosis infection, it is often accompanied by a history of tuberculosis in the urinary system or other parts of the body. It manifests as dull testicular pain, a feeling of bloating in the lower abdomen, and scrotal swelling. In severe cases, pus will flow out. When these lesions are touched by hand, there are uneven nodules, hard in texture, and often adhere to the scrotal skin. Testicular pain caused by prostatitis is often accompanied by a swollen and uncomfortable feeling in the perineum, as well as frequent urination, urgency, pain, and difficulty urinating.

Male testicles normally do not hurt, but once they hurt, it will be uncomfortable and have a great impact on health. Male testicles are a tool for reproduction. If they are not taken seriously, then if the testicular pain is caused by a disease, the harm will be greater. The phenomenon of testicular pain should be treated in time after understanding the cause. If it is varicose veins, then surgical treatment is required.
