What are the characteristics of balanitis?

Balanitis is a common disease among male friends. It is quite harmful to male friends. So what are the characteristics of balanitis? The symptoms of balanitis are generally some small red spots on the glans, redness and swelling of the penis, etc. In severe cases, there will be congestion and erosion of the glans. Let us learn about it in detail.

1) Acute superficial balanoposthitis: At the onset, there is local redness, small red spots on the glans, redness and swelling of the skin of the penis, and a burning and itching sensation on the glans. When the foreskin is turned back, the inner surface of the foreskin and the glans can be seen to be congested and eroded, with exudate and even bleeding. After secondary infection, small ulcers can be seen, with foul-smelling milky white purulent secretions. If it rubs against underwear, it will be painful, and the patient often has difficulty in moving. It may be accompanied by enlargement and tenderness of the inguinal lymph nodes.

2) Annular ulcerated balanoposthitis: There are small red spots on the glans and foreskin, which gradually expand and become ring-shaped, and may form superficial ulcers.

3) Candida albicans balanoposthitis: There are small red spots on the foreskin and glans, the surface is smooth, and there are small blisters. The edges of the erythema are clear, and there are erosions and exudates during acute attacks.

4) Trichomonas balanoposthitis: papules and small red spots on the glans glans gradually expand with clear edges. Small blisters the size of a needle can be seen on the erythema, and finally an erosive surface is formed. Balanoposthitis can cause many kinds of harm and should not be ignored. It is recommended to go to the hospital for examination as soon as possible to find out the cause and treat it.

Once male friends show symptoms characteristic of balanitis, they must pay attention to it as soon as possible and go to a regular hospital for treatment. After going to the hospital for relevant examinations, they should take the right medicine according to the cause of their own balanitis.
