Will the beard become thicker the more you shave?

Will the beard become thicker the more you shave?

We often see men with beautiful beards or thick beards in our daily life and on TV. As a man, I am extremely envious. Beards are the symbol of tough men. I believe that everyone likes to grow a sexy and straight beard. However, for people with thick body hair, too much beard is actually a trouble.

Men usually start growing beards at the age of 12-15, which means they have entered puberty. When a beard first grows, it is soft and unsightly, making the man look sloppy. Therefore, men who care about their image will choose to pluck out their beards. I have done this before, but I gave up after plucking out only one beard because it hurt.

Generally, few people would bear the pain of pulling out their beards. After all, it is cruel to pull out the beards from the hair follicles. The other option is to have a razor or electric shaver at home, which makes it more convenient for us to shave the newly grown beards every day. Then the question is, will our beards become thicker and thicker as we shave? This needs to start from the origin of the beard.

As mentioned before, beards generally begin to grow at the age of 12-15. Because men at this age are entering puberty, and the body's testosterone metabolism has just begun, beards gradually grow from the mouth. Although beards are closely related to testosterone, there is also a genetic relationship. If the father has a thicker beard, then his children will inevitably have a beard, such as a sideburn, which is more obvious. For example, the beard of white men is much thicker than that of Asians. This is attributed to genetic factors, and it is also related to whether the hair follicles in the beard area are more developed.

According to what we said above, beards are determined by genetic factors and testosterone, and have little to do with frequent shaving of armpit hair. After shaving, we always feel that the newly grown beards are harder and thicker than before. In fact, this is just our illusion. When the beard grows longer, it will still become loose, just like hair. When we cut our hair short, it will feel harder, and when it grows longer, it will become softer. Therefore, the hardness and thickness of the beard has nothing to do with whether you shave or not.
