Transparent blisters on the glans penis do not hurt or itch

Transparent blisters on the glans are a health problem for many men. This problem may indicate that men have balanitis. Balanitis has a great impact on men's health and even directly affects men's sexual ability. Balanitis can be divided into different types according to the different causes of the disease. The following will introduce several types of balanitis.

1. Contact causes inflammation of the foreskin and glans

Contact-induced balanitis is mainly caused by the use of some drugs. The use of local disinfectants or ointments may cause contact-induced balanitis.

2. Traumatic balanitis

Traumatic balanitis is mainly caused by trauma, such as being caught by the zipper of pants or injury during sexual intercourse. In severe cases, the foreskin will have severe redness, swelling and pain. If the penis is infected by parasites, it will also cause itching. Therefore, male friends must protect their private parts in normal times to avoid injuries to their private parts.

3. Infectious balanitis

This is a very common balanitis. The pathogens that cause this type of balanitis include parasites, fungi, and bacteria. The most common fungi is Candida albicans. When Candida albicans infection occurs, in addition to the redness and swelling of the foreskin or glans, there may also be small erosive white spots that cover the surface of the glans. Balanitis caused by Trichomonas vaginalis is generally ulcerated. There is also erosive glansitis, which is caused by bacterial and viral infections. It usually occurs in patients with phimosis, and there will often be foul-smelling secretions flowing out, and there will be some irregular erosive wounds of various sizes on the surface of the glans.

4. Syphilis can also cause glansitis

Syphilis can also cause glansitis. The main symptom is edema of the glans. It is different from the general infectious glansitis. The symptoms of redness and swelling of the glans and foul-smelling discharge are very different. When these abnormalities occur in the East, if it is suspected to be caused by Treponema pallidum, a blood test should be conducted to check the syphilis serum reaction and agglutination test, so as to distinguish whether it is caused by syphilis or other infectious causes of glansitis.

5. Balanitis caused by drugs

Drug-induced balanitis usually has symptoms of itching and burning. The infected area is not as large as that of infectious balanitis. It is still a small superficial abrasion-like symptom with a clear boundary. If you take tetracycline drugs frequently, it is very likely to cause this type of balanitis.
