What is the cause of male anal prolapse?

Men are under a lot of pressure in their daily lives. Unmarried men work hard to meet the economic conditions for marriage, while married men work hard to support their families. As a result, their bodies are prone to problems. Coupled with the influence of many factors, the male reproductive system will also have problems. So, what is the reason why men usually feel anal swelling?

1. Prolapsed anus disease

Internal hemorrhoid prolapse, rectal mucosal prolapse, polyps, etc. can all stimulate the tooth line area (a highly specialized sensory nerve terminal tissue band that is the inducing area for defecation movements), causing a feeling of anal distension and thus a feeling of defecation.

2. Inflammatory diseases

(1) Colitis, proctitis, anal cryptitis, and anal papillitis can all cause anal swelling due to inflammation irritating the tooth line area.

(2) Submucosal abscess of the rectum and pelvic rectal space abscess, etc., are caused by inflammation stimulating the pelvic floor nerves, often with swelling of the anus and rectum.

(3) Acute bacterial prostatitis may cause swelling of the perineum.

(4) Foreign bodies in the anorectal canal can cause bleeding and ulceration of the rectal mucosa, constipation, and anal swelling.

3. Compression disorders

The contents of pelvic floor hernia compress the rectum and anal canal, which can cause anal prolapse. The nerve supply to the rectum and surrounding organs mainly comes from the pelvic plexus. Once the sacral nerve, which is a component of the pelvic plexus, is compressed by lumbar disc herniation, the patient may experience anal prolapse and discomfort.

Men often have bloating in the lower abdomen, which is a typical symptom of prostatitis. If it is accompanied by general fatigue, frequent urination, radiating pain in the penis, spermatic cord, testicles, scrotum, lower abdomen, etc. after urinating or ejaculating, it is very likely that men have prostatitis. The symptoms of prostatitis are varied, and the severity varies greatly. Some may have no symptoms, while others may cause general discomfort. The main typical symptoms of prostatitis are roughly the following aspects.

Urinary discomfort: Bladder irritation symptoms may occur, such as frequent urination, burning and pain in the urethra during urination, and radiating to the glans penis. There may be mucus and other secretions in the urethra in the early morning, and there may also be a feeling of difficulty in urination.

Local symptoms: Distension and discomfort in the posterior urethra, perineum and anus, which is aggravated by squatting, defecation and sitting on a chair for a long time.

Radiating pain: The pain of chronic prostatitis is not limited to the urethra and perineum, but also radiates to the vicinity, with lower back pain being the most common. In addition, the penis, spermatic cord, testicles and scrotum, lower abdomen, groin area (thigh root), thigh, rectum, etc. can all be affected. It should be pointed out that the low back pain caused by chronic prostatitis is in the lower back, which is easy to be confused with low back pain caused by orthopedics such as myofasciitis and lumbar muscle strain, but the latter is mostly near the beltline, which is higher than the low back pain caused by prostatitis and can be distinguished.

Sexual dysfunction: Chronic prostatitis can cause decreased libido, painful ejaculation, premature ejaculation, and affect the quality of semen. White discharge from the urethra may occur after urination or defecation, and hematospermia may occur when combined with seminal vesiculitis.

Other symptoms: Chronic prostatitis may be accompanied by neurasthenia, manifested by fatigue, dizziness, insomnia, etc.; long-term prostatitis may even cause allergic reactions in the body, resulting in conjunctivitis, arthritis and other lesions.
