Boy's inner thigh itching

Boy's inner thigh itching

In life, many boys do not pay attention to their private hygiene, so they are particularly prone to skin diseases. These skin diseases will make patients feel itchy. One of the more common ones is tinea cruris, which is caused by fungi and has a lot to do with the patient's lack of attention to hygiene. Moreover, when the disease occurs, its area will become more and more extensive. So what should boys do if the inner thigh itches?

Tinea cruris refers to a skin disease that occurs in the pubic and femoral areas of the human body. It is a skin disease caused by fungal infection. This type of tinea is mainly distributed in the inner thigh, inguinal cleft, perineum and perianal area. The occurrence of this disease is also related to poor local hygiene and the presence of other skin diseases. Folliculitis may occur during the course of the disease due to scratching. Self-diagnosis points: The affected area feels itchy, and the itching becomes more severe after scratching. Discoid lesions can be seen, which are initially spotted erythema, gradually expanding and spreading, in annular or disc-shaped, with slight pigmentation and desquamation, and the surrounding area is raised, lace-like, and occasionally small pimples are seen. Annular and semi-annular rashes may still appear in the center of the lesion and spread outward. The appearance may be wavy. The skin damage is generally limited to the aforementioned pubic region. Treatment suggestions: Commonly used Western medicines include antifungal topical drugs such as Daknin and terbinafine solution. Before using the medicine, it is advisable to clean the local area first, and talcum powder can be applied to the affected area after using the medicine. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that this disease is related to the downward flow of dampness and heat in the liver meridian, and the treatment should be to clear away heat and dampness, and Longdan Xiegan Pills can be used for oral administration.

Notes:

1. Wash frequently and change underwear frequently. Wash the pubic area every day to keep it clean. This is beneficial for recovery.

2. Actively treat ringworms in other parts of the body, such as tinea manuum, tinea pedis, onychomycosis and tinea corporis, to achieve a radical cure and prevent recurrence.

3. Avoid eating spicy and irritating foods, quit smoking and drinking, eat a light diet, and eat more fresh vegetables and fruits.

[Prevention of Tinea Cruris]

(1) Keep yourself clean and do not have improper sexual relations with others. Do not use other people’s underwear, underwear, or toiletries.

(2) Change underwear frequently, keep the vulva clean, and wash clothes and bedding frequently.

(3) Reduce sweating and promote evaporation at the base of the thigh. Keep the perineum as dry as possible and wear loose, fitted underwear that is not too tight.

(4) If you suffer from onychomycosis, psoriasis, or tinea corporis, you should actively seek treatment to prevent infection from the pubic region through your hands. For external treatment of tinea corporis, because the skin of the pubic region is relatively tender, you should be careful to avoid using highly concentrated and irritating preparations. It is advisable to use milder tinea lotions or ointments for external application, such as Pu Tinea Lobelia Water, Baodao Tinea Lobelia Water, and Compound Tujinpi Tincture. Generally, they should be diluted to 1/2 concentration. You can also use 5% to 10% sulfur ointment, realgar ointment, etc. When it itches, bear it and don't scratch it with your hands. Apply the ointment and it will be gone in a few days. Scratching will make you feel comfortable at the time, but in fact, it will only get worse.
