Will the glans peel?

The glans is a crucial part of the male reproductive organ, which is directly related to whether a person's excretion is normal. This part usually has a layer of foreskin, which is mainly to protect the glans from external impact and prevent it from being injured. However, if the glans has a peeling problem, it may be caused by the foreskin being too long, and this phenomenon is likely caused by improper cleaning of the foreskin, which leads to inflammation.

Penile glans peeling is a common symptom in men, usually in men with excessively long foreskin. Excessively long foreskin prevents the secretions in the foreskin from being discharged, and a large amount of it accumulates in the foreskin cavity, forming smegma. The warm and humid environment of the foreskin cavity and the smegma create an environment for the growth of bacteria. If local hygiene is not paid attention to on a regular basis, infection will occur and scaly skin will appear. Penile glans peeling should not be underestimated. It is a typical symptom of foreskin and glans inflammation.

Between the glans penis and the excessively long foreskin, the fallen epithelial cells, glandular secretions and smegma bacteria form a warm and moist bacterial culture base. Once the bacteria enter, inflammation may occur.

Symptoms of balanitis include redness, swelling and congestion of the foreskin, odor, itching, burning or pain in the glans, and in severe cases, small shallow ulcers or erosions, and pus discharge with a foul odor after pusification.

Men's experts remind you that if glans inflammation develops into candidal glans inflammation caused by fungi, frequent recurrences can cause foreskin dryness, fibrosis and glans sclerosis and twisting. Due to the high incidence of glans inflammation, the initial symptoms are mild, the glans peels, and the condition is sometimes better and sometimes worse, so it is easy to be ignored in daily life.

If patients do not seek medical attention until the disease becomes serious, it is often accompanied by complications such as prostatitis, seminal vesiculitis, and epididymitis, which seriously damages male reproductive health.

In clinical practice, there are many cases where balanitis recurs and worsens due to doctors' non-standard and improper treatment. Experts suggest that once symptoms of balanitis such as glans peeling occur, you should go to a regular professional hospital for diagnosis and treatment as soon as possible.
