Long-term occult blood in urine in men

Long-term occult blood in urine in men

Abnormal excretion often reflects the condition of the body, so we can see whether our body is healthy from our excretion. The penis is the male urinary organ, as well as the sexual organ and reproductive organ. When men have long-term symptoms of cryptic blood in the urine, they should not take medication casually or take it lightly. The main consideration is that there is a problem with the kidneys, and they need to see a doctor in time for a detailed examination and cause analysis.

1. Positive diagnosis

Basically, occult blood has different considerations at different ages and genders. For example, when young women are found to have occult blood during urine tests, in addition to clinical symptoms, they should be asked whether it is a normal menstrual period. Cystitis is a common cause. However, if it is a 30-40 year old male, if there are no obvious symptoms of inflammation, sometimes an abdominal X-ray should be taken to see if there is a possibility of stones. For elderly men with hematuria or occult blood, prostatic hypertrophy is listed as the main consideration factor, and they should also undergo further intravenous pyelography or ultrasound examination to see if there is a tumor in the urinary system.

In addition, urine cytology is also a method to detect malignant tumors. If X-rays, ultrasounds and urine cytology are all normal and there is still occult blood, it is best to undergo a cystourethroscopy because X-rays and ultrasounds are limited and not all tumors can be seen. At this time, you can only directly observe smaller lesions with the naked eye (cystourethroscopy). If these tests show no abnormal findings, we call this occult blood or hematuria "benign unexplained hematuria," which may be related to the body's immune mechanism and only requires regular follow-up in the future.

2. Treatment Methods

If you find abnormal urine occult blood during routine examinations, don’t panic and fall into the trap of seeking medical treatment for the disease. It is best to reflect on yourself first to see if you have other symptoms. A series of complications can provide better basis for diagnosis.

Secondly, the diagnosis is confirmed through reexamination to identify the cause of occult hematuria and to provide targeted treatment based on the cause.

In the treatment of common renal occult urine hematuria, with the leakage of occult urine and proteinuria, the degree of kidney damage continues to worsen. Therefore, targeted measures should be taken to treat occult urine hematuria, inactivate inflammatory mediators that cause inflammatory reactions, prevent the damaged kidney from continuing damage, and repair the damaged glomerular filtration membrane, thereby solving symptoms such as occult urine hematuria and proteinuria.
