If small blisters appear on the glans, you should go to the hospital for examination in time. There are many reasons for these blisters. It may be caused by some infections, or it may be caused by not strengthening conditioning and not paying attention to the cleanliness of the private parts. For example, pearly papules are a common symptom. This symptom is common in young people with long foreskin or frequent masturbation. Let us learn more about this aspect.
Pearly penile papules are more common in men around 20 to 40 years old. The lesions mainly occur at the junction of the edge of the glans penis and the coronal sulcus and/or the frenulum. It manifests as papules of 1 to 3 mm in size, with greater damage on both sides of the frenulum. The top of the papules is round and smooth, and some papules are hairy or thread-like. The papules do not fuse with each other, and are mostly densely arranged in one or more rows. They are obvious on the dorsal side of the glans penis and may partially or completely surround the glans penis. The color is mostly pearly white, a few are light red or skin-colored, and some may appear mildly red and swollen. There is no pain, no rupture, and the patient has no obvious subjective symptoms. Diagnosis and differential diagnosis It can be differentiated from genital warts based on clinical, histopathological and human papillomavirus examinations, and the diagnosis is not difficult. The key point in differentiating and diagnosing penile pearly papules and condylomas is that in the former, the lesions are limited to the edge of the glans penis, the number of lesions is larger, they are pearly milky white papules with a smooth surface, the lesions do not increase in size as the disease progresses, and the acetic acid test is negative; while in the latter, the lesions are not limited to the edge of the glans penis, they are mostly single and scattered, the lesions are larger, the surface is not smooth, and they are mostly cauliflower-shaped. They gradually increase in size as the disease progresses, the acetic acid test is positive, and concave cells are found in histopathological examination.
Pearly penile papules are a benign lesion that can disappear on its own after a certain period of time. Some people may have no changes for decades. Because the disease is non-contagious and harmless to health, special treatment is usually not required. To prevent the symptom from worsening, attention should be paid to local hygiene and dryness. If the patient requires treatment, laser therapy, cryotherapy or topical medication can be used, but remember to avoid excessive damage that causes scars and pain to the patient. Some patients may develop after the above treatment. If the patient has a long foreskin, circumcision can be performed to avoid smegma stimulation.
Try to avoid contact with suspected allergens. Do not scratch hard when the papules itch to avoid causing more skin damage. Keep the living environment clean and dry. If suspected symptoms appear, go to a professional dermatology hospital in time. Avoid smoking, cold food, fried food, spicy food, etc. |
