What are the symptoms of balanitis?

Balanitis is a common male reproductive disease, but many male friends are still unfamiliar with it. Balanitis can be divided into three types: acute superficial balanitis, circumferential ulcerative balanitis, and candida albicans balanitis. Common symptoms include erythema or papules on the foreskin, followed by a burning and itching sensation.

Clinical manifestations

1. Acute superficial balanoposthitis:

Initially, the patient will experience local flushing, redness and swelling of the penis skin, burning and itching of the glans penis. When the foreskin is turned back, congestion and erosion can be seen, with exudate and even bleeding. After secondary infection, small ulcers and milky white, foul-smelling discharge can be seen.

2. Annular ejaculatory balanoposthitis:

Erythema can be seen on the foreskin of the glans penis, which gradually expands into a ring shape and forms an ulcerated surface.

3. Candida albicans balanoposthitis:

Erythema can be seen on the foreskin and glans, with a smooth surface and small rashes, clear edges, and erosion and exudate in acute attacks.

4. Trichomonas balanoposthitis:

Papules and erythema on the glans penis gradually expand with clear edges. Small blisters the size of a needle can be seen on the erythema, and finally an erosive surface is formed.
