What are the symptoms of scrotal sebaceous cysts?

Scrotal sebaceous cysts can cause harm to men's reproductive health, mainly manifesting as redness and swelling of the skin in the genital area, or pain and suppuration. If secondary infection occurs, be sure to use antibacterial drugs in time for treatment.

1. Common symptoms: redness and swelling of the skin, softening of the skin, increased skin temperature, pain, and skin suppuration

1. One or more soft or firm spheres of varying sizes, ranging from the size of a bean to a diameter of 7 to 8 cm. The surface is often adhered to the skin, and the base can be pushed (Figure 1). Sometimes a small opening can be found on the surface of the skin, and a small amount of white powder is squeezed out when squeezed. The cyst can exist for many years without any conscious symptoms.

2. Lesions can occur singly or multiple times. Those with particularly large numbers are called multiple sebaceous cysts or sebaceous cyst disease.

2. The lesion can be removed surgically.

(1) During surgery, a fusiform incision should be made at the skin site where the cyst is adhered and at the catheter opening, and the cyst should be removed together with the skin. The direction should be in the direction of the skin texture. If infection has occurred and adhesion has occurred to the surrounding tissues, the cyst should be completely removed during surgery. The cyst wall is thin and easily broken, so it is best to remove it completely, otherwise the residual cyst wall tissue will easily lead to cyst recurrence.

(2) Endoscopic surgery to remove subcutaneous cysts can avoid surgical incision scars and is a new surgical method developed in recent years.
