I believe that many male friends know what hydrocele is, but some patients do not know much about it. When they get sick, they may simply think that it is inflammation and it will be relieved after a while. It is precisely because of this that many patients delay the best treatment time. Therefore, it is very necessary to know the typical symptoms of the disease. Next, let me talk about it in detail. Clinically, hydrocele of the testicles manifests as a cystic tumor in the scrotum, with the testicles on both sides being of different sizes. Based on the characteristics of the tumor, hydrocele can be roughly divided into two types: communicating and non-communicating. In the former, the tumor changes size, often shrinking or even disappearing during sleep or when pressed by hand, but returns to its original state when the patient wakes up and plays on the ground or when the pressure-applying hand is relaxed. In non-communicating hydrocele, the tumor remains unchanged in size or slowly increases in size, feels hard when touched by hand, and does not shrink when pressure is applied. If you shine a flashlight on the scrotum from below, you can see that the skin and tissue inside the scrotum are bright red, and the testicles are black shadows. This is called the "translucent test." Since the hydrocele sac is filled with liquid and is also translucent, the light can pass through the cyst after the flashlight is shone, and the scrotal skin is still bright red, which is called a positive translucent test. However, in inguinal oblique hernia, the hernia sac contains intestines and turbid intestinal contents, so it is not easy to transmit light, and the swelling is dark. The symptoms of patients with hydrocele are mainly concentrated in the testicular area. They may feel severe testicular pain, bloating, and blunt pain, and even pain when touched. The epididymis may also have cysts. Patients usually have cystic masses in their scrotum. When the amount of fluid is small, there is no special discomfort. On the contrary, when the amount is large, the pulling of semen in the vertical position causes blunt pain and testicular heat. In severe cases, it can affect urination and normal daily life, such as giant testicular hydrocele. All of these contents are clinical characteristics of the disease. Men must read carefully so that when they have similar symptoms, they can find them in time and go to the hospital for effective treatment. At the same time, the editor reminds everyone to pay attention to maintaining their own hygiene, especially young men who have frequent sexual life, who need to do a good job of health care. |
