Because of work pressure, environmental pollution, frequent smoking, alcoholism, unhealthy diet and other reasons, the quality of male sperm often decreases. If people no longer want to have children, they are not too concerned about this situation. However, if people still want to have children, they are often more worried that poor sperm quality will affect their wife's pregnancy. So will poor sperm affect pregnancy? Is there any way to adjust it? The sperm survival rate of healthy men is considered normal when it reaches 60%-70%. If the sperm survival rate is lower than this value, it is considered low sperm survival rate. During the examination, the sperm motility should be above 70% within 1 hour after the male ejaculates. If the sperm motility is lower than 50%, it is abnormal and is called low sperm motility. When sperm motility is low, it is unable to move forward and has difficulty passing through the cervical canal and uterine cavity to reach the fallopian tube and combine with the egg, thus causing low fertility or directly leading to infertility. Even if conception occurs, the quality of the fertilized egg will decrease, directly leading to poor embryo development, resulting in stillbirth, miscarriage, etc. Low sperm survival rate requires attention to the situation of necrospermia, which means that the sperm morphology is normal and the density is within the normal range after multiple semen examinations, but the vast majority of sperm are dead. Under normal circumstances, within 1 hour after semen is discharged from the body, the normal surviving sperm should be more than 70%. If the dead sperm exceeds 40%, it will affect conception. Attention should also be paid to human factors caused by improper examination methods or failure to follow normal regulations: too long abstinence (increase in the number of dead sperm and decrease in sperm survival rate), too high or too low temperature of the sperm environment, varicocele, inflammatory infection of the reproductive tract, immunosuppression, endocrine disorders, some drugs that affect sperm production, radiation, smoking and alcohol poisoning, etc., all of which can inhibit sperm production. If the survival rate of sperm is low, it will definitely affect pregnancy. Poor sperm quality can make your wife pregnant, but sometimes the fetus will also have problems such as deformities. So when the sperm quality is not high, it is best to regulate it more, eat more zinc-containing foods, and nourish the kidneys well, which will improve the quality of sperm. |
