1. Hemophilia

3. Silk bean disease

It is an acute hemolytic anemia caused by eating short beans. Because the patient lacks glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase in the body, the stability of the red blood cell membrane is poor. Short bean disease can occur at any age, but it is more common in children under 9 years old. Generally, the disease occurs 1-2 days after eating short beans. In mild cases, as long as the short beans are no longer eaten, they can recover within 1 week; in severe cases, they have severe anemia, yellow skin, enlarged liver and spleen, and soy sauce-colored urine; more serious cases may die. According to statistics, 90% of patients with short bean disease are male. 4. Red and green color blindness

Since this disease is not life-threatening, the possibility of both spouses carrying the disease-causing gene is higher. In this way, the next generation of females has the possibility of inheriting an X chromosome with the disease-causing gene from each parent, and thus may show symptoms. However, according to statistics, the incidence rate of males is 14 times that of females. This disease can affect young people's choice of occupation and profession.

5. Congenital agammaglobulinemia, hereditary deafness, hereditary optic atrophy, etc. are also X-linked recessive genetic diseases.

There is no specific treatment for these diseases, and they are usually prevented by avoiding marriage between close relatives. Women with a family history of the above genetic diseases or who have given birth to children with the disease should be diagnosed before pregnancy, and generally only female fetuses are retained to avoid the burden of the birth of sick children on the family and society.
