Causes

Acquired factors:

Scar contraction occurs at the foreskin opening, and the skin loses its elasticity and expansion ability. The foreskin cannot retract upwards, and is often accompanied by urethral stenosis. This type of phimosis will not heal on its own. If the phimosis is severe, it may cause dysuria or even urine retention. When smegma accumulates, the glans penis may feel itchy.
