After ejaculation, sperm contains crystal particles

When men ejaculate, some men will notice that there are particles in their semen. We all know that semen is liquid, so why are there particles? Today, I will give you a detailed introduction to the reasons why there are particles in semen and what to do. I believe everyone is very concerned about this issue, so let's take a look together.

What is the cause of particles in semen?

Sperm originally exists in liquid form in the reproductive system. When ejaculated from the male genitalia, it immediately turns into a milky white or slightly yellowish transparent jelly under the action of a protein substance metabolized by the seminal vesicles. This is the appearance of semen we usually see.

At this time, the semen is "condensed" in the sperm and cannot move at will. After 5-30 minutes, with the participation of a hydrolase in male prostate metabolism, it will automatically change from a jelly-like state to a thinner water-like sample. This is sperm liquefaction.

Normal semen becomes thick small particles and can vaporize in 10-30 minutes. If it still does not vaporize and appears jelly-like, it means that the sperm is not liquefied. The key is that the male sperm lacks vaporization factors. For example, when the male prostate is inflamed, the metabolism of protease is deficient or damaged, resulting in an imbalance of cofactors, which will lead to the non-vaporization of semen.

Is it normal to have particles in semen?

Whether the semen is normal is not judged by the particles, but mainly by the following aspects.

Normal sperm density just ejaculated is 2-6ml. It is viscous and milky white with a grayish consistency. After about 10-20 minutes, the consistency evaporates on its own and becomes a transparent, turbid, thin mucus.

The smell of semen is caused by the arginine metabolized by the male prostate in the semen. It is a unique fishy smell, much like the smell of chestnut flowers.

Normal sperm survival rate should be above 70%, sperm of grade A and slightly slower males (grade A and grade B)>50% or sperm of grade A males>25%. Abnormality rate<30%, white blood cell count<0-5.

It is difficult to judge the normality of spermatorrhea with the naked eye. If otherwise, you should go to the hospital for treatment.
