1. Acupoint massage to relieve back pain

1. Lumbar pain point

Acupoint location: The Lumbago point is located on the back of the hand, at the junction of the second metacarpal bone and the third metacarpal bone.

Method: Make a fist with your left or right hand and massage. Make sure you feel a sore feeling. It would be better if you feel pain.

Effect: Just massage for 1-2 minutes to effectively relieve back pain.

2. Shenshu Point

Acupoint location: Shenshu point is located below the spinous process of the second lumbar vertebra, 1.5 inches lateral to it, and at the same level as Mingmen point.

Method: Make fists with both hands and place the tips of the fists on the Shenshu points on both sides. Press and rub them clockwise first, then counterclockwise.

Efficacy: Massaging this point every day can nourish yin, strengthen yang, nourish the kidneys and strengthen the waist.

3. Yangguan Point

Acupoint location: Yaoyangguan acupoint is located in the depression below the spinous process of the fourth lumbar vertebra, approximately level with the iliac spine.

Method: Make a fist with your left or right hand, place the tip of your fist on the Yaoyangguan acupoint, and press and rub repeatedly.

Efficacy: Daily massage can help to dredge the Yang Qi, strengthen the waist and knees, and benefit the lower abdomen.

4. Weizhong Point

Weizhong acupoint is a major acupoint on the bladder meridian, located behind the knee joint. As the saying goes, "back and waist problems can be solved by pressing this acupoint."

Effect: Relaxes muscles and tendons, eliminates lumbar muscle fatigue, and relieves back pain.

2. Massage therapy to relieve back pain

Kneading: Sit down, put the five fingers of both hands together, and place them on the left and right lumbar vertebrae respectively, with the palms facing inwards, and rub up and down slowly until it becomes warm.

Roll: Make fists with both hands, place them on the waist and roll around, massage, from bottom to top, from top to bottom, repeatedly. The head can be tilted forward and backward.

Push: After rubbing your hands together until they are warm, overlap them and place them in the middle of the lumbar spine. Push and rub from top to bottom 30-50 times until a local heat sensation is generated.

Press: Put your hands on your waist and press your thumbs on the waist points. Squeeze hard and knead in a circular motion, first clockwise and then counterclockwise, 36 circles each.

Pinch: Sit with your legs stretched out, or bend your knees, or sit upright. Pinch and lift the waist muscles with both hands 15-20 times.

Tap: Make fists with both hands, palms facing outwards, and tap the waist lightly without causing pain. Do this on both sides at the same time, 30 times each.

Shake: Place both hands on the waist, press the waist with the base of the palms, and shake up and down quickly 15-20 times with the palms facing inward.

Grab: Put your hands behind your waist, with your thumbs in front, pressing on the sides of your waist without moving. Use the other four fingers to scratch the skin on both sides of the lumbar spine, from the waist to the tail. Do this with both hands at the same time, 36 times each.

Press: Sit down and massage the Ren Zhong point with the middle fingertips of the left or right hand for 1-2 minutes.

Press: Sit down and use the middle fingertips of both hands to press the Weizhong points on both legs (behind the knee joints) for 1-2 minutes until you feel soreness, numbness, and swelling in the pressed areas.
