1. Chronic urethritis

2. Acute urethritis

The main symptom of acute urethritis in men is a lot of urethral secretions, which are mucous at first and gradually become purulent. Urethral secretions are rare in female patients. Symptoms of male urethritis include burning pain in the urethra during urination, frequent urination and urgency. In severe cases, urethral spasms may occur. Urine examination shows pus and red blood cells. In chronic urethritis, urethral secretions gradually decrease, or only during the first urination in the morning, a small amount of serous secretions can be seen at the urethral opening.

3. Improper handling may cause other diseases

Symptoms of urination irritation are not as obvious as in the acute stage, and some patients may not have symptoms of male urethritis. Urethritis can directly spread to the bladder or prostate and cause cystitis or prostatitis. If acute urethritis is not properly treated, it may be complicated by paraurethral abscesses, which can penetrate the penis skin and become urethral fistulas.
