4. Acidity and alkalinity (PH value):

Male sperm abnormalities also require relevant tests on the pH of the sperm. Generally, the pH of male sperm should be between 7.0 and 7.8. If the pH of the sperm is <7 or pH>8, this means that the male's sperm motility has shown a significant downward trend.

5. Semen color:

Normal male semen should be milky white or grayish white. If the semen is yellow-green or mixed with blood, it usually means that the man has genital tract infection.

2. The harm of asthenospermia

1. Because the sperm of patients with asthenospermia has certain quality problems, even if such sperm can combine with the egg, it is not certain whether the result will be ideal.

2. There is a certain degree of randomness in conception with asthenozoospermia. Even in mild cases of asthenozoospermia, the sperm motility is lower than normal, so the quality of sperm cannot be guaranteed. From the perspective of eugenics, conception under such circumstances still has certain disadvantages.

3. Low sperm motility will result in the inability to achieve the best possible combination of sperm and egg. Under normal circumstances, only sperm that move forward can ensure that the sperm reaches the abdomen of the fallopian tube and combines with the egg to form a fertilized egg. In this case, the activity of sperm after leaving the body will be restricted before the semen liquefies. Once the semen liquefies, it will immediately show excellent motility. However, if it is asthenospermia, if some factors affect the motility of sperm, especially sperm that cannot move forward, it will cause the sperm to be unable to swim to the location of the egg within the best time, and the process of conception cannot be achieved.

4. Many pregnant women will experience premature birth or miscarriage during pregnancy, which may be caused by insufficient sperm quality, so asthenospermia should be given sufficient attention.

5. It causes imbalance of male acquired factors. Many male patients will have symptoms of weak spleen and stomach, and insufficient essence and blood. Because the kidney essence is damaged, the testicles cannot produce sperm, or the sperm produced is not active enough.

6. Affecting the spermatogenic function of the testicles. Asthenospermia can cause the testicular spermatogenic function of male patients to weaken or even atrophy. There are also some local factors, such as congenital dysplasia of the testicles, trauma to the patient, inflammation of the testicles, etc. Systemic factors mainly include endocrine diseases, genetic diseases, industrial hazards, etc.

7. Causes blockage of the vas deferens. Due to inflammation, damage or deformity, asthenospermia can cause blockage of the epididymis, vas deferens and ejaculatory duct. In more serious cases, it can even lead to their absence.
