What's inside the testicles?

We may know some organs in the human body very well, but this does not mean that we know all organs in the human body. Some people may be curious, while others may really have the need to acquire knowledge, so they all want to understand their own bodies. Many male friends want to know about the testicles. So what is inside the testicles? Let's see how the editor answers this question.

The testicles are located in the scrotum, one on each side. They are male reproductive glands that can produce sperm and secrete male hormones.

1. Testis shape The testis is slightly flat and oval in shape with a smooth surface. It can be divided into inner and outer sides, front and back edges, and upper and lower ends. The front edge is free, and the back edge has blood vessels, nerves, and lymphatic vessels that come in and out and contact the epididymis and the beginning of the vas deferens. During adolescence, the testis grows with sexual maturity, while the testis of the elderly shrinks and becomes smaller with the decline of sexual function.

2. Testis structure: The surface of the testis has a thick connective tissue membrane, called the tunica albuginea. Along the posterior upper edge of the testis, the tunica albuginea protrudes into the testis to form the septum testis. The septum testis also sends out many radial septa into the testis parenchyma, dividing the testis parenchyma into many testicular lobules, about 100-200 in total. Each lobule contains 2-4 tortuous seminiferous tubules. The epithelial cells of the walls of the seminiferous tubules divide and proliferate, and develop into sperm. The connective tissue between the seminiferous tubules contains interstitial cells that can secrete male hormones. The seminiferous tubules gradually converge toward the testicular septum to form the straight seminiferous tubules, which enter the testicular septum and interweave with each other to form the testicular rete, and finally converge into 8-15 testicular efferent ductules, which converge into the epitesticular duct at the upper part of the posterior edge of the testis.

After understanding the internal structure of the testicles, I hope this can help all of us. After we know this knowledge, we can better deal with some problems in the male body. In addition to understanding this knowledge, we can also learn about some diseases in the male body, including the treatment of these diseases. Finally, I also hope that the men with the disease can recover soon and live a happy life!
