Why does the glans peel after circumcision?

Why does the glans peel after circumcision?

If the foreskin is too long, it is a big problem for men, because it is easy for the foreskin to completely cover the penis, which may cause tearing during sex. And if the foreskin is too long, it is easy for a lot of dirt to accumulate inside, causing inflammation of the glans. Therefore, circumcision surgery is necessary when necessary. So, why does the glans peel after circumcision surgery?

Nowadays, there are many men who have undergone circumcision surgery. Some of them will experience peeling of the glans penis after the surgery. This phenomenon often makes male friends very worried. In fact, this phenomenon will occur in most men after the surgery, so there is no need to worry too much.

Precautions after circumcision surgery:

1. Wear loose underwear. Generally, after the operation, the doctor will place a gauze curtain on the perineum after bandaging the wound to reduce the friction of the glans penis.

2. After circumcision, you should rest in bed for 3-4 days and avoid standing or sitting for long periods of time. Some young people are too embarrassed to ask for leave after surgery and still insist on working. Due to poor local blood circulation, the penis head swells directly, affecting the healing of the wound.

3. It is normal for the glans to have mild edema within 3 to 4 days after circumcision. This is a reaction of the body caused by the medicine and surgery. Note that the swelling is pink at this time.

4. Do not wet the dressing when urinating. If it has been soaked by urine, it should be replaced as soon as possible. You can prepare 75% alcohol or 1:1000 new gentamicin cotton balls or isotonic saline cotton balls, wipe the area around the urethra after urinating, keep the wound dressing clean, or soak the head of the penis in 1:5000 potassium permanganate solution in warm water every day.

5. Take sedatives such as diazepam 2.5 mg before going to bed within 3 to 4 days after the operation to prevent penile erection and cause pain or bleeding. Young people should pay more attention to it, because the nerve endings of the penis head are very sensitive after being covered for a long time. Once exposed, it is easy to get an erection, so they should avoid reading erotic books and watching erotic TV. Lovers should temporarily avoid hugging, kissing, etc. to avoid sexual stimulation.

Generally speaking, the wound will heal completely within one week to ten days after circumcision, and normal exercise will not affect the healing process. However, for health reasons, it is recommended to choose loose underwear with good breathability after surgery, and keep the head of the penis facing up, so as to relieve the symptoms of edema.
