Overactive bladder is very painful, here are four tips to relieve it!

Overactive bladder is commonly known as "hyperactive bladder". People with this disease have frequent urination and urgency as the main symptoms. More serious cases may experience urinary incontinence. So, how can "hyperactive bladder" be relieved?

To control overactive bladder, lose weight first

The added weight from obesity can squeeze the pelvic floor tissue downward, causing the muscles, nerves and other structures of the pelvic floor to be weakened due to long-term stress and tension. The three highs are often accompanied by weight gain, and clinically it has been found that weight loss can effectively reduce the frequency of hyperactive bladder attacks and the severity of symptoms.

Control fluid intake

For patients with real hyperactive bladder, controlling the amount of fluid intake can effectively relieve symptoms, especially since the fluid taken after dinner is usually excreted at night, and the more urine is produced, the more times you have to get up at night. Therefore, you should take in as little fluid as possible after dinner, preferably less than 200 ml.

Try to delay urination

When you want to go to the toilet, hold it in and wait a little longer. Although this is difficult, it is very effective in treating overactive bladder. When you want to go to the toilet, we can delay urination by tightening the sphincter and pelvic floor muscles. Even if we can hold on for five or ten minutes, it is a victory.

In addition, patients are advised to develop a habit of urinating on time and keep a urination diary. If you drink 250 ml of milk every morning, you may have an urgent need to urinate at 10 a.m. every day, but you go to the toilet at 9:55 a.m., and the urgency to urinate at 10 a.m. disappears. This is also a way of self-control.
