The reason why there is a red pimple on the foreskin

Men’s problems are more complicated because they are usually related to their genitals. Therefore, many men are more averse to problems in their bodies. Men’s genitals are more susceptible to diseases and it is easy for men to ignore genital diseases. Therefore, we need to strengthen the popularization of reproductive health. Men may often find red bumps on their foreskins in their daily lives. What is the reason for this?

Clinically, it is believed to be related to prepuce being too long and chronic inflammatory stimulation. It is a variation in physiological development and is neither a tumor nor a sexually transmitted disease. The clinical manifestations are white, skin-colored or light red papules that do not fuse with each other and are arranged in one or several rows along the coronal sulcus at the posterior edge of the glans. This disease will not cause any adverse consequences and generally does not require treatment. However, during the safe period, it is recommended to go to a regular hospital for further analysis or treatment based on your examination results.

Below we introduce several common diseases that may cause bumps on the glans:

1. It is condyloma acuminatum. Condyloma acuminatum does not hurt or itch, but most of them are not cyst-like, but granulation-like or fungal-like. Some patients have red spots on the surface of the glans in the early stage, and there is a keratinized layer on the red spots that resembles thorns.

2. Sebaceous gland ectopy: Occurs in the oral mucosa and glans penis, and is small yellow papules. Histological examination shows that the papules are mature sebaceous gland lobules.

3. If there are small bumps on the glans, and it itches, it may be caused by unclean foreskin, or local allergy during the inflammatory stimulation period, such as balanitis. Recommended reading: What are the early symptoms of balanitis?
