1 New items in the military physical examination

New items in the military physical examination: ophthalmology (eye vision, color blindness test), otolaryngology, gynecology (women), English hearing, surgery (height and weight, human limbs), internal medicine (blood pressure, heart rate, heart), chest X-ray, B-ultrasound, testing (blood tests include routine blood tests and five liver function tests, urine tests include drug use and routine urine tests), AIDS testing, and psychological testing.

2What are the standards for military physical examinations?

(a) Individual

1. Heavy tank passenger: height 160-178cm;

2. Naval ship and submarine crew: Male height 160-182cm, female height 158-182cm;

3. Diver: height 168～185cm;

4. Paratroopers: Height above 168cm;

5. Special Forces Army, Central Guard Corps, Public Security Guard Forces Conditional Soldiers: Male height over 170cm (165cm or above for excellent physical fitness), female height over 165cm;

6. Requirements for soldiers stationed in Hong Kong and Macau: Males must be over 170cm tall, females must be over 160cm tall;

7. Beijing Garrison National Flag Guard staff: Males must be over 180cm tall; females must be over 173cm tall.

(2) Weight loss: Those who are too fat or weak should not pass the test.

In addition, trauma-induced cranial defects, fractures, dents, foreign bodies in the brain, complications of cranial trauma, cranial malformations, and history of cranial surgery will not be accepted. Neck stiffness, involuntary torticollis, third-degree simple thyroid hyperplasia, tuberculous lymphadenitis will not be accepted, bone, joint, bursa, tendon sheath diseases or damage and complications, bone and joint deformities, habitual dislocation, chronic spinal diseases, chronic low back and leg pain will not be accepted, the difference in length between the two lower limbs exceeds 2 cm, the distance between the medial condyle of the femoral head and the distance between the ankle joints of the genu valgum exceeds 7 cm (the paratrooper exceeds 4 cm), or although it is within the above requirements, there is an abnormality in foot drop, which will not pass; incomplete fingers (toes), deformities, flat feet with complete disappearance of the plantar arch that affect the function, corns, calluses, moderate to severe cracking that affect long-distance walking, will not pass; malignant tumors, tumors in various parts of the body that affect the appearance or function, cysts, scars, and scarred physique will not pass.

3. Eyesight

Land workers: workers with junior high school education must have a visual acuity of not less than 4.9 in the right eye and not less than 4.8 in the right eye;

For staff with high school education, the visual acuity of the right eye shall be no less than 4.7 and that of the right eye shall be no less than 4.5;

For staff with a college degree or above and students of regular institutions of higher learning (hereinafter referred to as on-campus students of higher learning institutions), the visual acuity of the right eye shall be no less than 4.6 and that of the right eye shall be no less than 4.5.
