Please read the detailed introduction below.

What is the method of circumcision surgery? Adults who are suitable for surgery and children who can tolerate surgery can undergo surgery after outpatient examination without hospitalization. The traditional surgical method for treating phimosis and prepuce is circumcision, which is a distal circular removal of the foreskin. Although this method removes excess foreskin, it has many complications. Since the blood vessels of the foreskin are cut off at the same time as the foreskin is removed, venous and lymphatic return are obstructed, the swelling after the operation is obvious and difficult to subside for a long time, resulting in an unnatural shape. If one or two of the many small blood vessels do not stop bleeding completely, it may cause postoperative bleeding or form scrotal hematoma. If the frenulum of the penis is not properly treated, it can cause pain after erection, which can lead to the patient's avoidance of movement and impotence. If scar hyperplasia occurs after surgery, a constriction ring will form at the front of the foreskin, affecting the appearance of the penis and erectile function, and even hindering normal urination, bringing lifelong regrets and pain to the patient.

The main method used today to correct prepuce is circumcision of the skin at the base of the penis. An incision is made at the base of the penis, and the foreskin is pushed and pulled toward the base of the penis to expose the glans penis. Then, excess skin is removed and the incision is sutured. This method will not damage the lymphatic vascular system under the penis skin, and there will be no blood or lymphatic reflux obstruction after the operation. The turned foreskin and frenulum will not be damaged, and the appearance will remain natural. There will be no pain after erection, and there will be no contraction of annular scars. The surgical method is simple, with little trauma, mild swelling after the operation, and a short recovery time.

Circumcision, which is used to treat diseases such as excessive foreskin and phimosis, is a minor surgery that takes about 20 to 30 minutes and does not require hospitalization. The risk of the surgery is very small. Possible accidents include too little foreskin removal to form a narrow ring, the glans penis cannot be exposed, too much foreskin removal leading to painful erections or upward bending of the penis, but these situations are rare.

Surgery is suitable for:

1. If the foreskin is too long and cannot be turned back or cleaned, and the foreskin is phimotic, especially if the foreskin has been stuck on the glans penis, surgery should be performed as soon as possible.

2. Due to inflammation of the foreskin of the glans penis, the foreskin opening contracts due to scarring, resulting in acquired phimosis, which is often accompanied by urethral stenosis. This situation also needs to be solved through surgery.

3. Most of the foreskins in little boys can improve on their own as they grow older. However, if the foreskin opening is small and difficult to turn up, the foreskin swells into a water bag during urination, or the foreskin and penis are often inflamed, or even cause urinary tract infection, surgery should be performed in time.

Situations where surgery is not suitable: Patients who are suffering from complications of foreskin or glans inflammation are temporarily unsuitable for surgery and must wait until the inflammation subsides before surgery can be performed.
