Can penile sensitive nerve block surgery cure premature ejaculation?

Some male friends are prone to premature ejaculation and impotence because their genitals are too sensitive during sex. These problems make men not "manly" in bed, so some people think of using penile sensitive nerve block to reduce the sensitivity of the glans skin. Penile sensitive nerve block is a minimally invasive surgery that can selectively block the dorsal penile nerve. So, is penile sensitive nerve block really effective for premature ejaculation and impotence?

In recent years, dorsal penile nerve block surgery has become an option for the treatment of premature ejaculation, but the results of the surgery vary. Why is this? The author believes that premature ejaculation should be divided into three types: advanced central hypersensitivity, local hypersensitivity, and all-sensitivity. If it is advanced central hypersensitivity, wearing condoms and using local anesthetics are ineffective, and the vibration threshold is normal, the surgical effect is unlikely to be ideal. If it is local hypersensitivity, and wearing condoms and using local anesthetics are effective, and the vibration threshold is reduced, the surgical effect will probably be more ideal. As some doctors have found, the number of sensitive nerve branches in the penis of patients with primary stubborn premature ejaculation can be as many as 8-9, or even more than 10 (normal should be 4-6). Too many and too dense nerve branches lead to high local sensitivity, which often leads to an immediate triggering of ejaculation and severe premature ejaculation (however, the reliability of this statement has yet to be confirmed). Therefore, patients with good adaptability must be carefully selected for surgery.

Normal men should not choose surgery casually

For normal men, even if they insist on having a dorsal penile nerve block surgery when seeing a doctor, they should not consider it, because the effect of the surgery is definitely not obvious. I once encountered a case where the measured value was far higher than the normal value, but he thought it was premature ejaculation (complained that the sexual intercourse time was 7-8 minutes). The doctor irresponsibly diagnosed him as "premature ejaculation" according to the patient's complaint and mobilized him to undergo surgery. As a result, he could not ejaculate after the surgery, and his future fertility became a problem.

Recently, I have met many boys in their 18s and 19s, some of whom are still virgins, but they go to the hospital to see a doctor for impotence and premature ejaculation. They are neither married nor have regular sex life, so why do they put such a big hat on themselves? It seems that many bluffing advertisements are still "effective". For such "patients", I have always advocated not to make any diagnosis, but to give them scientific knowledge, explanations and comfort. However, it is true that many boys at this age have undergone dorsal penile nerve block, and some have also undergone deep dorsal vein ligation. What's worse, they have undergone various so-called prostate interventional treatments on the grounds of prostatitis. In addition to the physical suffering and the waste of 50,000 or 60,000 yuan, the problem is that there is no improvement at all, which only increases anxiety and trouble. Some people may suffer from azoospermia due to urethral damage, thinning of urine stream, or even blockage of the ejaculatory duct opening, which will affect fertility in the future.

Therefore, penile sensitive nerve block is not suitable for every man. If severe premature ejaculation occurs and neither drug treatment nor psychological treatment can achieve the desired effect, penile sensitive nerve block can be used to reduce the sensitivity of the genitals. However, for normal and healthy men, there is no need to undergo penile sensitive nerve block as it will affect their health.
