Nowadays, the pressure of life is getting higher and higher, especially for men. They pay more and more for their families and lives, which often leads to various male diseases. Male urethral polyps are one of them. The prevalence of this disease is getting higher and higher. It has attracted enough attention. Let's learn how to treat male urethral polyps. Urethral polyps (p01yp of the urethra) can also be considered as a benign tumor that occurs in the urethra. It can be congenital or it can be a urethral ectopic position of the prostate tissue. It often occurs at the bottom of the prostate urethra and around the spermatozoa. It can be found in infants and young children, and can also be seen in young and middle-aged people. It can be a thin, pedunculated solitary polyp, or a pedunculated villous or papillary polyp. It is generally small, with a diameter of less than 1.0 cm. Pedunculated polyps can block the urethral cavity after being impacted by urine flow. There is a difficulty in urine discharge, and symptoms of urination obstruction appear. Urethral polyps can bleed and cause hematuria and hematospermia. 1. Those without symptoms do not need treatment. Most cases are cured by topical estrogen ointment. For those who do not heal for a long time, electrocautery, freezing, laser or surgical removal can be used. 2. Urethral polyps are granulomas caused by chronic urethritis that cannot be cured for a long time. They are benign lesions. If the polyps enlarge and affect normal urination, they can be surgically removed. 3. Instrumental treatment: The current methods for endoscopic treatment of polyps include: high-frequency electrocoagulation and electroresection, high-frequency electrocautery, laser therapy, microwave therapy, injection removal, cryotherapy, etc. It is generally believed that for a single adenomatous polyp, a follow-up check is conducted once in the first year after the operation. If the test result is negative, a follow-up check is conducted every 3 years. For multiple adenomas or adenomas larger than 20 mm with atypical hyperplasia, a follow-up check is conducted every 3 to 6 months. If the test result is negative, a follow-up check is conducted once a year. If the test result is negative for two consecutive times, a follow-up check is conducted once every 3 years. The follow-up check time should be no less than 15 years. The above is the treatment method for male urethral polyps. Many men are embarrassed to go to the hospital for treatment because it is a male disease. Therefore, in the treatment process, not only physical treatment is needed, but also psychological guidance. Going to the hospital for treatment when you are sick is a scientific and reasonable method, otherwise you will always be troubled by the disease. |
