What does sperm consist of?

In fact, the sperm that we usually talk about is invisible to the human eye, but semen can be seen. Semen specifically refers to the substances produced by the male testicles, the prostate glands, and the compounds produced by sperm. It contains most of the semen and sperm.

Healthy semen usually appears as white egg white. If a man abstains from sex for a long time, the semen will generally appear as light yellow. In addition to being very viscous, the new semen discharged from the body will continue to have a smell of rotten eggs and appear as crystal jelly. Normal semen usually exhibits weak alkalinity, and the pH value is normal at around 7.5.

After ejaculation, the semen will generally automatically vaporize and become gelatinous within 20-30 minutes after contacting the air. This change is related to the enzymes in the semen. If the enzymes in the human body undergo abnormal changes, it may cause the sperm to not liquefy or coagulate.

Under normal circumstances, the process of ejaculation actually follows a certain order. The first part of the ejaculation should be epididymal fluid, substances metabolized by the bulbourethral glands, sperm and semen; and the second part of the key substances is seminal vesicle fluid. If the process of ejaculation is disrupted, the resulting abnormal ejaculation of men may cause infertility.
