The typical chancre is ring-shaped, with a diameter of 1 to 2 cm, with a clear surface, the sore surface is slightly higher than the soft skin, and it is a bright red erosive surface with a small amount of exudate containing a lot of syphilis spirochetes. A few days to a week after the appearance of the chancre, some lymph nodes on one side swell, and then the other side also swells.

2. The secondary syphilis symptoms in men are the generalized stage of syphilis. The period from the disappearance of the chancre to the appearance of the secondary syphilis rash is called the second critical period. The secondary syphilis rash usually occurs 3-4 weeks after the disappearance of the chancre, which is equivalent to 9-12 weeks after infection. Secondary syphilis is caused by the Treponema pallidum entering the blood circulation through the lymph nodes and causing extensive systemic damage. In addition to causing skin damage, it also damages the internal organs and central nervous system.

3. The symptoms of late-stage syphilis in men are as follows: blood pressure develops late (2-15 years after infection), and the disease history is long. If not treated, it can last for 10-20-30 years, or even lifelong; blood symptoms are complex and can invade all tissues and organs of the human body, including the skin, mucous membranes, bones, joints and internal organs, easily invading the central nervous system, easily confused with other symptoms, and difficult to diagnose; there are few Treponema pallidum in the body and skin lesions, and the infectivity is weak, but the ability to destroy tissues is good, often leading to tissue damage and damage to human organs, which can cause disability and even serious endangerment of life.

How to effectively prevent syphilis?

(1) All abnormal patients should be subject to preventive examinations and syphilis blood cell tests to facilitate early detection of new patients and timely treatment.

(2) If a syphilis patient is found, protective treatment must be carried out as soon as possible. The patient's clothing and utensils, such as pure cotton towels, clothes and pants, razors, kitchen utensils, quilts, etc., must be strictly disinfected and sterilized under the specific guidance of medical staff to avoid pathogens.

(3) Track the patient's sexual partners, including those reported by the patient and those viewed by medical staff, search for all sexual partners of the patient, conduct preventive inspections, follow up and observe, and provide necessary treatment.
