Can penile induration heal on its own?

Can penile induration heal on its own?

The cause of penile nodules is still unclear at this stage, and it is common in middle-aged and elderly people. Penile nodules generally have a 20% to 50% chance of being cured, but more severe cases are usually incurable, or long-term untreated conditions that worsen and continue to cause male sexual dysfunction. However, many people still have doubts about whether penile nodules can be cured?

Generally speaking, it is incurable. Therefore, the induration of the penis should be treated with medicine under the doctor's instructions. Do not take medicine indiscriminately or choose a doctor at random. Generally speaking, it can be cured. Once you are diagnosed with induration of the penis, don't be afraid. You should go to a regular hospital for treatment in time, control the condition in time, and choose the appropriate treatment method.

1. Treatment measures for penile induration

Penile induration is also known as penile corpus cavernosum fibrosis. The cause of the disease is unclear and it is common in middle-aged and elderly people. About 20% to 50% of these patients have a tendency to be cured, so when treating it, you should choose a method with few side effects. However, if it is not treated in time, it may also lead to male sexual dysfunction. Common methods include:

1.1. Vitamin E, 100 mg, three times a day. The treatment course is about 3 to 6 months.

1.2. For patients with a short medical history and a mild age, procaine can be dissolved in prednisone or cortisone and immediately introduced into the lump, twice a week for a total of 12 times, which can soften and reduce the lump.

1.3. Ultrasonic or infrared acupuncture therapy.

1.4. Treat with traditional Chinese medicine according to syndrome differentiation, such as Zidanshen Xiaojie Decoction. Medication treatment must be carried out under the specific guidance of professional doctors. After basic treatment, most symptoms can be alleviated, but 10% of patients have weak actual effects and need surgical treatment to remove lumps and correct penile curvature. For those with physiological impotence or other surgical treatment failures, male genital prosthesis can be inserted.

2. What is Penile Induration?

Peyronie's disease was first reported in 1742 and often occurs in middle-aged and elderly men. When the patient is erect, the penis is bent and painful. The penis distal to the induration is not hard enough during erection. Severe deformity affects sexual life. When the penis is flaccid, there is no pain.

During examination, the male genital body may be touched with chemical fibrous lumps or cord-like lumps of different sizes limited to the tunica albuginea of the corpus cavernosum. There is no tenderness and the lumps are often found on the distal side of the male genital body.

Injuries of Peyronie's disease

1. Impact on urination: The appearance of lumps may cause direct damage to the male genitals, which may cause the penis to bend or even twist. The most serious situation is that it may cause the glans penis to deviate from the center line, which will make it impossible for men to urinate normally when standing up.

2. Inability to have sexual intercourse: Due to the presence of the lump, the patient's penis usually has varying degrees of bending when it is erect. However, no matter the degree or direction of the bending, it will directly cause penile deformity and make it impossible to have a normal sexual life, which will inevitably seriously affect the relationship between the couple.

3. Hinder growth and development: If a child suffers from penile deformity symptoms, if not treated in time, it may affect the normal growth and development of his genitals and his normal sexual function in the future.

4. Cause impotence: Multiple penile sclerosis in adults is very likely to develop into latent genital chemofibromatosis cavernosa. Once it becomes hard, it is not only painful but also bends and deforms, which not only affects the male sexual life but may also cause impotence.

5. Inability to conceive: At the end of sexual intercourse, the deformed male genitals are usually unable to fully capture semen into the female vagina, and thus cannot cause the female to become pregnant.
