Pain in left testicle and lower abdomen

Pain in left testicle and lower abdomen

Many men may encounter such a problem in life, that is, testicular pain. There are many reasons for male testicular pain that need to be paid attention to, and whether there are other uncomfortable symptoms. If there are some complications, when considering the cause, the factors of complications should also be considered. For example, some men often have testicular pain accompanied by lower abdominal pain, so what is the reason for the pain in the left testicle and lower abdomen?

1. Left testicle pain with lower abdominal pain, the most common diseases are left epididymal orchitis, left varicocele or left testicular torsion. You must check the color Doppler ultrasound as soon as possible to confirm the diagnosis. The color Doppler ultrasound can be done on the testicle, epididymis and spermatic vein. If it is left epididymal orchitis, it is left testicle pain with left lower abdominal pain. The color Doppler ultrasound can show that the epididymis is enlarged and the blood flow of the testicle is increased. If the left testicle pain is caused by varicocele, accompanied by lower abdominal pain, it means that varicocele has caused obstruction of testicular blood circulation and venous return, so testicular pain requires surgery as soon as possible. If the left testicle pain is caused by testicular torsion, surgery must be performed as soon as possible. Color Doppler ultrasound will indicate that testicular blood flow has disappeared or decreased.

2. Testicular pain accompanied by lower abdominal pain on the same side requires early hospital ultrasound examination to rule out the possibility of testicular torsion. Testicular torsion can cause ischemic necrosis of the testicle on the same side. The longer the time, the greater the possibility of necrosis. Testicular spermatic cord loosening and fixation surgery should be performed within two hours of torsion. In addition, acute orchitis and epididymitis can also cause pain symptoms, which can be confirmed by color ultrasound examination. Anti-inflammatory and anti-edema treatment is needed in time. In short, testicular pain requires early examination and treatment in the hospital, and the condition should not be delayed.

3. This situation may also be a testicular tumor, which usually develops slowly, and first manifests as an increase in the size and density of the testicles, and a dull pain. During self-examination, it can be seen that the testicles on both sides are different in size, and the testicle on the diseased side is enlarged. When touched by hand, the testicle feels heavy, similar to the feeling of touching a stone. Further B-ultrasound or CT scan is needed for identification and confirmation.
