HPV16 is considered a female disease by most people, mainly related to cervical cancer. In fact, men can also be infected with HPV16, and it is harmful for men to be infected with HPV16. With the rapid increase in the incidence of condyloma hygroma among sexually transmitted diseases and the increase in cervical cancer and anal cancer, human papillomavirus (HPV) is divided into many types, among which HPV16/18 is related to cervical cancer. Its transmission route is:

Genital and perianal areas are the most common sites. In men, it is more common in the foreskin, frenulum, coronal sulcus, glans penis, urethral orifice, penis body, perianal area, rectum and scrotum. In women, it is more common in the labia majora and minora, posterior symphysis, vestibule, clitoris, cervix and perianal area. Occasionally, it can be seen in areas other than the genitals and perianal area, such as the axilla, umbilical fossa, oral cavity, breasts and between toes. Female vaginitis and male prepuce hyperplasia are the factors that promote the occurrence of condyloma acuminatum.

The lesions are initially small, light red papules, which gradually increase in size and number, distributed singly or in clusters, moist and soft, with an uneven surface, and are papillary, cockscomb-shaped or cauliflower-like protrusions. They are red or dirty gray. There is often a pedicle at the root, and erosion and exudation are prone to occur, and they bleed easily when touched. There is often accumulation of purulent secretions between the cracks of skin lesions, resulting in a foul odor, and secondary infection may occur due to scratching. This disease is often asymptomatic, and some patients may experience foreign body sensation, pain, itching or pain during sexual intercourse. Condylomas in the rectum may cause pain, blood in the stool, and a feeling of tenesmus.
