The process of circumcision

It is very common for men to have prepuce that is too long. It is recommended to choose surgery to treat it. If the prepuce is too long and not treated, there will be many hidden dangers, such as not being able to have normal sexual intercourse, and it will be easy to get infected. The process of circumcision surgery is not complicated and does not take a long time. It is a minor operation and can be cured after a few days of rest.

For people with phimosis and prepuce, surgical treatment should be performed as soon as possible, and the best time is when the child is about 8 to 10 years old. It is worth noting that although pseudophimosis in adults has little impact on health and is even beneficial to the sexual life of couples, sometimes serious accidents such as incarcerated foreskin or frenulum tearing may occur during sexual intercourse, so surgery is still better, and of course it can be done before marriage. At present, the most commonly used method of circumcision is still the traditional circumcision. The whole process of the surgery is as follows:

1. Supine position.

2. Wash and disinfect. Wash the area with soap and saline, and disinfect with 1:1000 gentil. For those with phimosis, connect the syringe to the venous incision needle and inject gentil into the foreskin sac for disinfection. ⑴ Clamp the dorsal foreskin with hemostatic forceps.

3. Evacuate adhesions. For patients with constricted foreskin opening and adhesion between foreskin and glans penis, first use hemostats to dilate foreskin opening, then use two hemostats to clamp the middle part of the dorsal edge (two clamps 0.2cm apart). Use a grooved probe to evacuate adhesions until glans penis and foreskin are completely separated. Then use sterile saline to clean foreskin sac and glans penis.

4. Clamp the frenulum with a hemostatic forceps to lift the foreskin. Use the tip of the knife to make a cut on the outer plate of the foreskin 0.5 cm away from the edge of the coronal sulcus, preparing for the opening of the ring. Be careful not to cut too much.

6. Remove the foreskin. Align the inner and outer plates of the foreskin, pull outwards and open the hemostats clamped on the back of the foreskin and the frenulum, and then check whether the cut on the outer plate of the foreskin is appropriate as the ring. If appropriate, use curved scissors to cut off the right side skin flap along the cut about 0.5cm away from the coronal sulcus, and then cut the left side. The inner and outer plates at the frenulum of the foreskin can be left intact, and some can be retained.

7. Stop bleeding. Pull the penis skin upwards to expose the bleeding spot and then stop bleeding. Be especially careful to ligate the superficial dorsal penile vein in the middle of the dorsal side of the penis. ⑸ The foreskin at the frenulum should be preserved as much as possible. ⑹ Ligate the superficial dorsal penile vein to stop bleeding.

8. Stitching

Use fine silk thread to sew one stitch each on the back, abdomen, left and right sides of the annular incision. Do not tie it too tightly to avoid damaging the skin when edema is formed. Do not cut the suture short, but save it for a firm dressing. Then sew 1 to 2 stitches between every two sutures, and the suture needle should be passed close to the incision edge.

9. Bandage: Place a strip of Vaseline gauze (with the raw edges folded inside) around the foreskin, secure it with long sutures, and then bandage it with several layers of gauze.

1. Within one week after the operation, you should eat more nutritious foods, such as meat, fish, eggs, etc., to help the growth and recovery of the incision. But in general, you should eat light food as much as possible, eat less spicy and irritating food, and smoking and drinking should be absolutely prohibited.

2. It is best to rest for 1 to 2 days after the operation. You can rest in bed. It is best to walk as little as possible to prevent incision bleeding due to activities.

3. Take some drugs to prevent erection and relieve pain under the guidance of a doctor, and do not take antibiotics at will.

4. Avoid exposure to pornographic and obscene books and TV shows, so as to avoid induced erection caused by sexual stimulation and cause postoperative bleeding.

5. It is best to change the dressing every 3 days after the operation. Generally, the stitches can be removed 5 to 7 days after the operation.

6. Only after the doctor confirms that you have recovered can you work and study normally, and have sex with your wife.
