The male genitals are a very important male reproductive organ. Once a man's penis has problems, it will undoubtedly make people very anxious. Some men find that there are many granules on their male genital skin. So, what is the reason for the granules on the male genital skin?

The lumps on the male genital skin may be condyloma, which is a genital tract infection caused by human papillomavirus (HPV) infection, with the specific manifestation of proliferative damage to the genitals at the anus. Most of them occur in middle-aged and young people aged 18 to 50. The disease occurs after a dangerous period of about ten days to eight months, with an average of three months. This disease is relatively common and is mainly transmitted through sexual contact.

Clinical symptoms

The risk period is from January to August, with an average of March, and it mainly occurs in sexually active groups.

1. Typical condyloma acuminatum

The most common locations are around the sex organs and anus. For men, it is common to see long foreskin, frenulum, coronal sulcus, glans penis, urethral opening, male genital body, around the anus, inside the duodenum and scrotum. For women, it is common to see labia majora and minora, posterior symphysis, vestibule, clitoris, cervix and around the anus. Occasionally, it can be seen in locations other than the private parts and around the anus, such as the armpits, umbilical fossa, oral cavity, breasts and between toes. Gynecological inflammation in women and long foreskin in men are the driving factors for the occurrence of condyloma acuminatum.

The lesions initially appear as tiny reddish papules, which then gradually expand and increase, appearing singly or in clusters, moist and soft, with an uneven surface, and appearing as nipple-like, cockscomb-shaped, or cauliflower-like protrusions. They are bright red or dirty dark gray. There is often a pedicle at the root, and erosive exudate is easily produced, which is easy to bleed when touched. Puscular secretions often accumulate between the lesions, causing a foul odor, and secondary infection may occur due to scratching. The disease often has no active symptoms, but some patients may experience discomfort, pain, itching, or pain during sexual intercourse. Condyloma acuminatum in the duodenum can cause pain, blood in the stool, and a feeling of anal prolapse.

2. HPV subclinical infection

It means that HPV infection is clinically invisible to the human eye, but direct evidence of HPV infection can be found through the acetic acid whitening test (the area turns white after wiping or applying 5% acetic acid solution on the face), tissue pathology or DNA testing technology.

3. Association with tumors

Many clinical epidemiological materials show that HPV infection (mainly high-risk HPV, such as HPV-16 and HPV-18) is closely related to the occurrence of sexual organ cancers, such as cervical cancer and penile cancer.

The prognosis is generally good after treatment. However, regardless of the treatment method, relapses are possible.
