Why do men go bald?

Why do men go bald? Men generally go through 40 years old, and their hair tends to become sparse, and even some rescues begin to go bald. Bald men look aging. Male baldness can also be treated with daily hair care. The method is also very simple. If a man is bald, he can comb his hair frequently. It doesn't matter if he has less hair. He insists on combing his hair 10 times a day. You can put a small comb in your pocket and take it out when you have nothing to do. Comb your hair and massage your scalp. However, do not use too much force. You can also massage your scalp while combing. This can effectively promote blood circulation in the head and make your hair more nutritious.

①Clinical manifestations

It can occur at any age, but is more common in young people. There is no significant difference in the incidence between the two sexes. The skin lesions appear as round or oval non-scarring hair loss, and "exclamation mark"-like hair is often seen at the edge of the alopecia. When all or almost all hair is lost, it is called total alopecia. When all hair on the body (including body hair) is lost, it is called universal alopecia. Creeping alopecia can also be seen. In addition to the absence of hair, there are no other abnormalities in the skin of the affected area.

Sometimes nail abnormalities may occur, the most common of which is nail depression, as well as brittle nails, nail detachment, and ingrown nails. It may also be complicated by cataracts, Down syndrome, thyroid disease, and vitiligo.

②Inspection

1. Detection of the body's immune function

Including the determination of interleukin-2 and its receptor levels, T lymphocytes and their subpopulations, NK cell levels, etc.

2. Hair trace element detection

Hair is the terminal excretory organ of the human body, and the changes in its trace element content directly reflect the state of human metabolism. Studies have shown that elements such as Cu, Ca, Zn, Mn, and Pb can regulate the body's immune function, thereby affecting the course of alopecia areata.

3. Endocrine testing

Hair growth is directly or indirectly controlled and regulated by endocrine. For example, an increase in adrenal cortex hormones can cause hirsutism. Testosterone can promote the growth of hair on the trunk, limbs, beard and pubic area. In addition, the functions of the thyroid gland, parathyroid gland, pituitary gland, etc. also play an important role in the course of alopecia areata.

4. Head skin microcirculation test

Microcirculatory perfusion plays an important role in the growth and regeneration of hair. Scalp hair follicles are located in the upper part of the subcutaneous tissue, and the lower 1/3 is surrounded by a rich vascular cluster. The growth and regeneration of hair depends on sufficient nutrition and blood supply to the hair follicles. Studies have shown that the blood flow of alopecia areata is significantly reduced. This directly leads to persistent contraction of capillaries in the affected area, resulting in blood supply obstruction to the hair papilla, loss of nutrition and hair loss.

5. Scalp pathology section

In the early stage, poorly developed growing hair can be seen, and there is lymphocytic infiltration at the lower end of the hair follicle. In the late stage, the size of the hair follicle is greatly reduced and moves upward to the upper dermis. Usually there is no hair in it, and the connective tissue under the dermal papilla shows perivascular degeneration. The hair follicles of patients with total alopecia and universal alopecia are severely damaged.
