What is routine urine test for men?

When men have liver problems or reproductive organ infections, they often use urine tests, which is what people often call routine urine tests. So what does a routine urine test for men check? A routine urine test for men usually checks the color of urine, pH, urine specific gravity, white blood cells, red blood cells, etc. In addition, there are some other indicators. Let's talk about them together.

Urine routine

1. Urine color test: In a routine urine test, the first thing to do is to check whether the urine color is normal. Normal urine is straw yellow, and abnormal urine color may change due to factors such as food, medicine, pigment, and blood.

2. Urine transparency test: If the urine transparency is normal, it is mostly clear and transparent. If the urine is left for too long, the pH value will change, and the mucus protein, nucleoprotein, etc. in the urine will gradually precipitate, resulting in a slight turbidity.

3. Acidity and alkalinity: In routine urine tests, normal urine should be slightly acidic. It may also be neutral or slightly alkaline due to diet, medications taken, and disease types.

4. Cell examination: Red blood cells, a small number of white blood cells and small round epithelial cells may occasionally be found in normal human urine. If there are a large number of red blood cells, a large number of white blood cells and many small round epithelial cells in the urine, they are all signs of reproductive infection diseases.

5. Cast examination: There are no casts in normal urine, or occasionally a few transparent casts, and only contain very small amounts of albumin.

6. Protein test: Normal people excrete relatively little protein every day, and routine urine tests will show negative results.

7. Specific gravity examination: Urine specific gravity is affected by age, water intake and sweating. The level of urine specific gravity can reveal certain confidence in reproductive infectious diseases.

8. Urine glucose qualitative test: Normal urine contains trace amounts of glucose, and the qualitative test is negative. Positive urine glucose may indicate a certain disease.
