Lump on the testicle

The testicles generally do not get sick. A lump on the testicle may indicate inflammation, because both effusion and cysts can cause lumps on the testicles. You need to go to the hospital to check what the cause is. Acute orchitis needs to be suppressed by medication. If it is not suppressed for a long time, it will lead to the onset of the disease and complications.

In the acute phase, there is high fever, chills, testicular pain radiating to the groin, accompanied by nausea and vomiting. Acute mumps orchitis usually occurs 3-4 days after the onset of mumps, with a high fever of up to 40°C, often accompanied by prostration, red and swollen scrotum, enlarged testicles, hydrocele, and obvious tenderness. If it is mumps, enlarged parotid glands may also be found.

Treatment

Prevention of orchitis: Nowadays, it is generally believed that orchitis should be treated with a large number of broad-spectrum effective antibiotics through intravenous administration in the early stage to control inflammation in order to reduce the occurrence of purulent orchitis and testicular abscess. Special attention should be paid to acute mumps orchitis. Acute mumps orchitis can cause irreversible damage to spermatogenesis and even testicular atrophy, leading to male infertility. Therefore, the key to preventing orchitis is to vaccinate susceptible children under one year old. The use of live attenuated mumps virus vaccine can prevent mumps and concurrent orchitis.

Mumps hyperimmune globulin can reduce the progression of the disease. Routine use of estrogen or adrenal glucocorticoids may have the effect of preventing orchitis in children with mumps, but this is still controversial.

2. If you feel any pain during massage, it may be orchitis or epididymitis. Please go to the hospital for examination immediately.

3. Bilateral lesions of acute mumps orchitis can cause irreversible damage to spermatogenesis and even testicular atrophy, leading to male infertility.

5. Eat less so-called "irritating foods" such as pig's trotters, fish soup, and mutton, so as to avoid increased secretions from the inflamed area, further infiltration and spread of orchitis, and aggravation of symptoms.

6. Be careful not to eat spicy food, do not smoke or drink, do not stand or sit for long periods of time, do not have excessive sex, do not masturbate frequently, etc.
