What are the symptoms of urinary tract infection in men?

In daily life, urinary tract infection is not unfamiliar to many people. Urinary tract infection is a very common physical disease. Suffering from urinary tract infection has a great impact on physical health. Generally speaking, women are a high-risk group for urinary tract infection, and men are also prone to urinary tract infection. The symptoms of urinary tract infection in men are urgency to urinate, nephritis, or urethritis.

Symptoms of Urinary Tract Infection in Men

Symptoms of urinary tract infection in men are as follows

Urinary tract infection has a wide range of symptoms. Depending on the site of infection, it can be divided into pyelonephritis, cystitis, and urethritis. Depending on whether there is functional or organic abnormality in the urinary tract, it can be divided into complicated and uncomplicated urinary tract infection. Depending on the nature of the inflammation, it can be divided into acute and chronic urinary tract infection. However, urinary tract infection still has its common symptoms:

1. Urinary tract irritation symptoms, i.e. frequent urination, urgent urination, painful urination, and discomfort during urination. These symptoms vary in severity in different patients. Acute inflammation patients often have obvious urinary tract irritation symptoms; however, in the elderly, children, and patients with chronic urinary tract infection, urinary tract irritation symptoms are usually mild, such as mild frequent urination, urgent urination, or discomfort during urination.

2. Systemic poisoning symptoms, such as fever, chills, headache, etc. Mainly seen in patients with upper urinary tract infection, especially acute urinary tract infection and patients with urinary tract obstruction.

3. Routine urine examination may reveal white blood cells, red blood cells, or even protein.

4. Routine blood test may show elevated white blood cells.

5. Urine bacterial culture positive.

Cause

1. Lymphatic infection: There are many communicating branches between the lymphatic vessels of the lower abdomen and pelvic organs and the lymphatic vessels around the kidneys. There are also lymphatic vessels between the ascending colon and the right kidney. When there is pelvic organ inflammation, appendicitis and colitis, bacteria can also infect the kidneys through the lymphatic vessels. This infection route is even rarer, and there is even controversy about whether this infection route exists.

2. Direct infection: When there is trauma or infection in organs adjacent to the kidneys, bacteria can directly invade the kidneys and cause infection. However, this situation is very rare clinically.

3. Ascending infection: Most urinary sensations are caused by ascending infection. Under normal circumstances, there are bacteria parasitic in the urethral opening and its surroundings, but generally do not cause infection. When the body's resistance is reduced or the urethral mucosa is slightly damaged, or when the bacteria are highly toxic and have a strong ability to adhere to the urethral mucosa and ascend, they are likely to invade the bladder and kidneys, causing infection.

4. Hematogenous infection: Hematogenous infection is more common in newborns or hematogenous renal infection in patients with Staphylococcus aureus septicemia.

5. Ascending infection: Urinary discomfort is caused by ascending infection. When the body's resistance is reduced or the urethral mucosa is slightly damaged, or when the bacteria are highly toxic and have a strong ability to adhere to the urethral mucosa and ascend, they can easily invade the bladder and kidneys and cause infection.

6. Because male friends are busy with work, they rarely pay attention to personal hygiene, especially local hygiene, so bacteria invade the male reproductive organs. Under the stimulation of inflammation for a long time, male friends suffer from urinary tract infection. 7: Male friends suffer from a certain disease. Through the examination of the bladder with instruments, some irregular instruments appear, or the doctor's operation is wrong, causing upper urinary tract infection.

8. Male friends do not pay attention to nutrition in daily life, which reduces the body's resistance and allows bacteria to invade the male body. Under long-term inflammatory stimulation, the male genitals become infected and induce urinary tract infection.
