Fungal foot ulcer symptoms pictures

A foot skin disease caused by highly pathogenic bacteria, which is infectious. Tinea pedis is widely prevalent around the world, and is more common in subtropical and tropical regions. In China, the prevalence of tinea pedis is also very high.

Clinical symptoms include blisters, scabies, or white and sticky skin between the toes. Erosion or thickening, roughness, and cracking of the skin may also occur, and may spread to the soles and edges of the feet, causing eczema. It may be accompanied by local suppuration, swelling, pain, inguinal lymphadenopathy, and even secondary infections such as calf erysipelas and cellulitis. Because of scratching the area, it often infects the hands and causes tinea manuum (cow's palm wind). When bacteria grow and develop on the nails, it becomes onychomycosis (onychomycosis). Bacteria love a humid, cold, or warm environment. In the hot summer, people tend to sweat easily. Wearing rubber boots or nylon socks also provides a breeding ground for bacteria. In the winter, the disease usually gets better, and the main manifestation is skin cracking. There are several types:

1. Water blisters

It mostly occurs in summer, and is mainly manifested by the appearance of millet-sized, deep blisters between the toes, on the edges of the feet, and on the soles of the feet. They are scattered or spread in groups. The blisters have thick walls, clear contents, and are not easy to crack. They combine to form multi-chambered blisters. When the blisters walls are torn off, the honeycomb-like base and red eroded surface can be seen, which is extremely itchy.

2. Disorderly type

The main manifestation is that the stratum corneum of some parts of the skin becomes thin, soft and white. Because of continuous friction when walking, the skin falls off, exposing the red erosion surface; in severe cases, the skin between the toes and the intersection of the toes and the soles can be invaded, with severe itching, mostly between the 3rd, 4th and 5th toes. It is more common in people who sweat easily.

3. Desquamative keratinization type

The symptoms are that the skin on the soles, edges of the feet, heels and toes becomes thick, rough and flaky, and the flaking forms lumps or small spots that fall off repeatedly.
