Does shaving have anything to do with men's longevity?

If you say that men's life expectancy is related to shaving, many people will find it incredible. In fact, through some symptom research, it is found that men who do not shave frequently will have a higher mortality rate. Men who shave every day have a lower chance of suffering from heart disease or stroke than men who do not shave frequently.

1. The relationship between male life expectancy and shaving

In recent years, male diseases have been increasing, and the average life expectancy has been decreasing year by year. One study showed that men who do not shave often have an increased mortality rate. Researchers pointed out that men who shave every day are much less likely to suffer from heart disease or stroke than men who do not shave often. Below, I will take a look at several factors that affect men's life expectancy.

2. Men who shave infrequently have a higher risk of developing the disease than those who shave every day.

Researchers published a report in the American Journal of Infectious Diseases, saying that in this 20-year study, 835 people have died. Overall, 45% of those who did not shave daily died, while 31% of those who shaved at least once a day died. The high number of deaths among those who did not shave daily was related to their higher smoking rate and poor living habits. The researchers said that although this does not explain why they have a higher risk of stroke, it also shows that whether or not to shave frequently is related to the probability of disease.

3. In addition to shaving, a man’s life span is also related to hormones.

The results of the study showed that men who did not shave every day were mostly unmarried and blue-collar workers; they had fewer orgasms, were shorter in stature, and were more likely to suffer from angina.

In addition, Professor Shah Ebrahim of the Department of Social Medicine said in a statement: "The higher mortality rate among people who do not shave often may be caused by smoking and some social factors, but a small part is affected by hormones." He said that men who do not shave every day are less likely to enjoy orgasm, which may be because their male hormones are lower, or simply because they are unmarried and therefore have fewer opportunities to engage in sexual activity.
