Sweat can tell you about your health! Why does sweat smell sour?

Sweating is a way for the human body to regulate itself. Sweating can not only lower body temperature but also discharge some dirty things. However, for some men with more developed sweat glands, they are always troubled by some sweat odor. Why does some people's sweat emit a sour smell?

Sour sweat

Generally, there are some excrement in sweat. If you sweat a lot and smell sour after a period of time, it may be caused by the deterioration of urea and protein. This is normal.

However, if this continues for a long time, it may be caused by active rheumatic disease, damp heat in the body, or long-term use of antipyretic and analgesic drugs such as salicylic acid and aspirin.

Smelly sweat

Sweat has a urine smell because sweat itself contains trace amounts of urea, which is generally not noticed or smelled by people. However, if a patient has renal failure or uremia, the sweat will have an excessive amount of urea, which will be mixed with the smell of urine.

If the sweat has a special fishy smell, it may be a sign of cirrhosis.

Sweat with fox odor

There is a foxy smell in the sweat, and the sweat is mostly milky white and sticky. This is the surface of body odor, which is caused by abnormal secretion of the sweat glands distributed in the armpits. The smell is more obvious in summer, and it is more common in women than in men.

Sweating with a burnt smell

Sweat that smells like burning or coal may be caused by male ejaculation, excessive masturbation, or too frequent sexual intercourse.
