If you have chronic prostatitis, don’t eat these foods!

Prostatitis is a common disease among men. Although it seems to be a very common disease, it is actually very harmful to men. If it is not treated in time, it may easily lead to prostate cancer. So, what foods should patients with chronic prostatitis not eat during the treatment period?

First, patients with prostatitis cannot eat raw or cold food:

Raw and cold foods can act as cold stimulation, causing the prostate to contract and leading to poor urine circulation. For example, some frozen drinks and cold foods should not be consumed in autumn and winter.

Second, it is contraindicated to take certain medicines:

For example, anticonvulsants such as atropine, anisodamine, scopolamine, anisodamine and probandin, and tricyclic antidepressants such as polydipsia can relax the bladder detrusor muscle, causing dysuria and even urinary retention. Antiallergic drugs such as diphenhydramine, isoproterenol, promethazine, adrenaline, morphine, mecamylamine, and acetaminophen have different degrees of side effects that affect urination and should be prohibited or used with caution in clinical practice.

Third, patients with prostatitis cannot eat spicy food:

Spicy food can increase the body's heat and dampness, causing congestion and swelling of the prostate and affecting urination. Therefore, peppers, ginger, curry, mustard, pepper, etc. should be avoided as seasonings, and should be used in small amounts. In addition, alcohol also has a certain stimulating effect, causing congestion of the prostate and difficulty in urination, so it is not advisable to drink too much.

Fourth, patients with prostatitis should not eat irritating foods:

Patients with prostate diseases are very sensitive to irritating foods. Clinically, it is common for patients with prostate diseases to experience urinary incontinence after eating irritating foods. This may be caused by irritating foods entering the human body, stimulating the body, causing the already diseased prostate to become congested and swollen, and compressing the urethra. Common irritating foods include: dog meat, mutton, sparrow meat, venison, pork head meat, leeks, garlic sprouts, etc.
