What causes itchy thighs in men?

The male genitals are relatively prominent. Therefore, when a male's genitals are infected or problems such as prostatitis occur, if they are not controlled in time, the infection may spread to the thigh roots and other parts. Some patients cannot move or turn over for a long time, and are prone to eczema, which can also cause itching in the thigh roots. So let's talk specifically about what causes itching in the male thigh roots?

Nonbacterial prostatitis

There are symptoms such as frequent urination, urgent urination, and sexual dysfunction, but laboratory tests cannot detect bacteria. It is mainly caused by excessive sexual activity, prolonged sexual excitement, or pelvic congestion caused by riding a bicycle or horse.

Urethritis

Most of them are caused by retrograde infection, that is, the bacteria directly invade the urethra. In the acute stage, the patient will show congestion and edema of the urethral mucosa, or erosion and ulceration, red and swollen urethral opening, mucous or purulent secretions, urethral tenderness and hardening; severe cases may affect the epididymis and spermatic cord.

Orchitis

It is caused by various pathogenic bacteria and viruses that infect the blood, lymphatic vessels, vas deferens or epididymis. Among them, orchitis caused by mumps is the most common. Mumps is an acute infectious disease caused by viruses. Adults with mumps are prone to orchitis. In the acute stage, patients show redness, swelling and pain in the scrotal skin, and have a noticeable feeling of swelling when walking. If it is not treated properly in the acute stage, it can turn into chronic orchitis.

Epididymitis

It is caused by urethral stenosis, prostatic hyperplasia, urethritis, and infection with tuberculosis and gonorrhea, which spreads retrogradely. When the bilateral epididymis is lesioned, it can cause infertility. In the acute stage, the symptoms are scrotal swelling and pain, which can pull the lower abdomen and thigh roots, making it difficult to walk. Incomplete treatment in the acute stage can turn into chronic epididymitis, so the treatment in the acute stage must be thorough.

The main causes of itching at the base of the male thighs are the above-mentioned problems. Now, for many people, a relaxing weekend is indeed rare. It is recommended to go out for more walks and not stay in your own small space all day, especially for those who sit still at work, as they are more likely to develop diseases such as prostatitis.
