Does prickly heat have white heads? How to distinguish prickly heat from eczema?

Most skin diseases have many similar symptoms. This is the case with prickly heat and eczema. Many people cannot tell which is which. Some people even think that they are the same. This is a mistake. So how do you tell the difference between prickly heat and eczema?

Prickly heat has white heads, but eczema does not.

There are four differences between prickly heat and eczema:

1. Different reasons:

Heat rash is caused by blocked sweat pores. There are many causes of eczema, which are often unstable. Common causes include: eating some fish, shrimp, eggs, beef, mutton, etc.; inhaling certain pollens, such as dust mites, wool, etc.; infection of lesions such as tonsillitis; sunlight, heat, dryness, etc. in the living environment; chemicals such as cosmetics, soap, etc.; indigestion, gastric dysfunction, neonatal metabolic disorders, etc. It can be seen that heat rash is a temporary disease, and eczema is a chronic disease.

2. Different seasons of occurrence:

Prickly heat occurs in summer and is more common in children. Eczema is not seasonal and can occur all year round, regardless of gender, age or age. However, it often recurs or worsens in winter and has a tendency to exude. It is a chronic disease with repeated attacks.

3. Different sites of occurrence:

Heat rash often occurs on the neck, chest, back, elbows, and popliteal fossa. Children may develop heat rash on the head, forehead, and other sweaty areas. Eczema can occur anywhere, but it often occurs on the cheeks, forehead, eyebrow arches, and behind the ears.

4. Different symptoms:

Prickly heat is actually a mild inflammation of the sweat glands. At first, the skin turns red, and then needle-sized red papules or papules appear, densely packed in patches, some of which are purulent. After having prickly heat, it is itchy and painful, and sometimes there are bursts of hot burning pain. Eczema is an inflammatory skin disease of the epidermis and the superficial layer of the dermis. At the beginning, the skin turns red with needle-sized red papules on it. The manifestations are characterized by symmetry, exudativeness, itching, polymorphism and recurrence. It is also an allergic inflammatory skin disease characterized by diverse rashes, symmetrical distribution, repeated episodes of severe itching, and easy evolution into a chronic disease.
