What is cramping?

The scientific name of cramp is muscle spasm, which is a spontaneous tonic contraction of muscles. Muscle spasms are most common in the calves and toes. The pain is unbearable during an attack, especially in the middle of the night when cramps often wake people up in pain, and the pain cannot be relieved for a long time, and it affects sleep. Leg cramps are the most common calf muscle spasms, which are manifested by the calf muscles such as the gastrocnemius suddenly becoming very hard and unbearable pain, which can last from a few seconds to tens of seconds.

Laughter cramps are medically known as laughter nerve spasms. Laughter cramps are caused by the spasm of the laughter nerve muscles, which leads to cramps and severe pain. Laughter cramps are usually caused by being too happy and mentally overexcited. The most common one is stomach pain from laughing. How to relieve stomach pain from laughing?

The following two methods can relieve cramps and eliminate severe pain immediately. If you have someone to help, the effect will be faster.

Method 1: Sit up instead of lying down, straighten the leg with cramps, hold the front foot tightly with your hands, endure the severe pain, and rotate the ankle joint of the cramped leg outwards. The severe pain will stop immediately. The movement should be continuous when rotating, and you should complete a full rotation in one breath without pausing in the middle. When rotating, if it is the left leg, swing it counterclockwise.

Method 2: Press the nerve root of the gastrocnemius muscle head. On both sides of the inguinal fossa on the inner side of the knee joint (or below the inguinal fossa), there is a place where the gastrocnemius muscle head is attached, and the nerve root trunk leading to the calf muscle is inside. When the calf cramps, use the thumb to feel the main root of the hard and protruding muscle on both sides of the inguinal fossa, and then press this place with force, the director's excited nerves will calm down, the cramps will stop, and the severe pain will disappear.

The above mentioned methods to solve abdominal cramps and leg cramps can be applied to cramps in other parts of the body, such as hand cramps, leg cramps, back cramps, etc. Before exercising, you should do warm-up exercises in advance to activate your muscles before exercising to avoid cramps.
