What are the physical therapies for rheumatoid arthritis and what are the dietary precautions?

In clinical practice, there are many methods to choose from for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, and physical therapy is more practical. So, what are the physical therapies for rheumatoid arthritis?

Physical therapy for rheumatoid arthritis:

(a) Ion introduction.

(ii) Infrared irradiation: irradiate the painful area once a day for 15 to 20 minutes each time.

(III) Wax therapy: First, warm and soften the wax bag, then place it on the affected area, once a day for 15 to 20 minutes each time.

(IV) Massage therapy: You can first use pushing, regulating, and kneading techniques to gently massage the affected area to relax the muscles and promote the smooth flow of blood; then use tapping, pressing, pinching, and holding techniques to achieve the purpose of relaxing muscles and relieving pain, and finally use shaking, rolling, and kneading techniques. Each treatment lasts 15 to 30 minutes, once every 2 to 3 days.

Dietary Notes:

1. Use more vegetable oil and less animal oil, and the ratio of animal to vegetable fat should be 2:1. Salad oil, corn oil, olive oil, sunflower oil and fish oil (not cod liver oil) are preferred.

2. For rheumatoid arthritis, choose high-protein, low-fat, high-fiber and easily digestible foods. Through reasonable nutritional matching and appropriate cooking, the patient's appetite can be improved as much as possible so that the nutrition and energy in the patient's diet can meet the body's needs.

3. You can eat vegetables and fruits rich in vitamins E, C, A, B, such as radish, bean sprouts, seaweed, onion, kelp, fungus, dried fruits (chestnuts, walnuts, almonds, sunflower seeds), strawberries, black plums, bananas, as well as tomatoes, tangerines, cucumbers, etc. containing salicylic acid.
